I purchased this unit because of its noise rating and the convenience of a smart unit. It has not disappointed. I can certainly hear the unit when it is on but for the job it does, the noise is quite acceptable. I have programmed it to cool my bedroom each evening before we enter the room and to go off each morning by itself. I seldom think about it. If I do need the room to cool at other times during the day, all I have to do is say, "Alexa, turn on bedroom A/C." I can also ask Alexa what the current temperature is in the bedroom and I can ask her to set the temperature to a new target. Very convenient. I believe the unit is quite attractive as well.

I have an extension on my house, that I use for my home office, that was not properly connected to the house AC system. I work from here a lot and having it cool is important. A noisy AC in my office is difficult, because I am on many calls. This unit made me smile within 2-3 minutes. It is very quiet and does the job even on the 90+ F days. I have tested all the modes and settings and the maximum cooling setting is still quite quiet and will not effect my calls. I have the system on "Auto fan" and ESave cooling" settings. I don't mess with all the settings and only adjust the temp settings up or down 1 degree as needed for my personal taste. This is the fourth 'quiet AC unit' I have bought int he past 3 years. I am very happy with this unit.

It looks good and it is pretty quiet compared to most. I did have to install some soft side Velcro strips between the filter cover and unit because after the first couple days a rattle had developed. Wifi so far seems to be very good. I also have a Frigidaire window wifi unit and the wifi has been kinda problematic.

I teach online courses and needed to keep my office cool while not adding a lot of noise. The unit works well at keeping my office comfortable while being fairly quiet. The compressor is pretty quiet. It does make a bit of an annoying clunk when the compressor starts. Otherwise, most of the noise seems to come from the fan. In quiet mode, it appears to just run the fan at low speed. The wifi functionality isn’t all that. The HomeKit integration does let me start, stop, and set the temp from anywhere, but that’s all. I wish that would let me control the fan. The GE app crashes a lot. It allows you to set routines based on your location and schedules. At least it does when it isn’t crashing. It also reports energy usage of the unit. Still no fan control, though. The remote is excellent. Full control of all functions is available via the remote and the remote also displays the temperature and fan settings. Overall, I’m quite satisfied. It’s quiet and let’s me do my work in comfort. It looks nice, too. If you need a quiet window unit, this is a good fit.

Update after a few weeks. I couldnt be happier. Very quiet especially on "quiet" mode during the night. Sometimes I wake up and wonder if it's on, no kidding. Easy to turn up or down while in bed "Alexa ask Geneva to set the air conditioner fan to low" for example works great. App works great and keeps track of usage and KWH used. It's definitely a bit more expensive but the quietness, voice and app control is great. Display is bright but turns off after about 30 seconds. My first time setting up WIFI, I screwed up. Press and HOLD WIFI button to reset and start over. I have a few wifi networks in the house, best to have phone and A/C on the same network to set up I think. Operation is fine from any network or via cellular when not home or even remote Echo Dot. Great product. Only been installed for 1 day so far. I am not sure who wrote reviews about this unit being noisy. I have had many and this is the quietist by far. The WIFI set up was a breeze and the app is very nice. Once installed on my iPhone, by downloading the app on other devices like iPad, just login and it is available also. You have access to all the features and controls. I did also purchase a window mount (Ivation Mount https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07CZH178M/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) that is also great. Allows installation by one person very simple, it supports the unit so you can just slide it in place. The unit has some weight on the inside so not 100% of the weight is pulling on the window. It is nice that the bright display dims then goes off after about a minute. Downside is that you're not sure if it's on if it happens to be in the "off" state while in ECO mode. Need to tap a button for all to re-light. No biggie. Yup, it's expensive and with the $100 bracket it was more expensive but I am really happy with the quiet operation as it's in the bedroom and ease of setup. If you happen to have multiple wifi networks in your house, I found it seems to need your phone to be on the same network as the one you want to put the A/C on. After setting it up, it works from any of them. I just turned mine on and changed some settings from work and verified the changes with my wife watching it. I have not tried it with Alexa yet, I think it is supposed to work but there were not instructions for that.
