Chromebooks are simple, and start up quickly compared to an Apple or especially a Windows product. This one has 8 gb RAM and 64 gb hard drive, a touchscreen, and can fold all the way open to be used like a tablet. The screen is nice and clear. Also has keyboard drains, to help in case you spill something on it. Supposedly has military grade toughness, but you'll pardon me if I don't subject it to multiple drops to see how long until it breaks. For a sub hundred-fifty dollar unit, this is pretty darn good, holds plenty of music files and lets me access web/media/email on the road. Haven't really had a chance to do a deep dive on battery life yet. Two minor quibbles- first, battery was completely dead on arrival, wouldn't even flash a low-battery warning. Usually items arrive with a partial charge, so you can turn it on and do your registrations/set up/software updates while it charges. Second, shipping with a signature-required service was a pain. I paid extra to FedEx to reschedule delivery to when I was off work, yet it still came during the original delivery window, fortunately my neighbors were around even though it was 112 F that day. Tanga should make that kind of delivery optional.
