This stand does look very nice on the table. My only suggestion to the company would be design in a lock on each level because although it looks sturdy, it really isn’t especially with kids around.

The plates are good quality and sturdy (and, perhaps most importantly, fit easily into a dishwasher). It looks great on a table, and once you get the plates and food onto the wire rack it is pretty stable. The only gripe I have is that when you're putting the actual rack together that the plates sit on, it doesn't sit evenly. Once you put the plates on it does, though, so I don't know if that's a design flaw or clever engineering. It did make me spend a lot longer than I anticipated disassembling and reassembling it while I tried to make it sit on all four feet before testing with the plates, though.

I purchased this item for a small buffet set up for my wedding. It was the perfect addition to create much needed levels. The plates are lovely and can definitely be used in many ways. The structure holding the plates is very flimsy. Once the whole thing was assembled it stayed together just fine. I don't know if I would trust it with any heavy foods.

This came quickly and works well. Most importantly, the plates are dishwasher safe. As other reviews said, the stand is not one solid piece, but it doesn't wiggle or sway dangerously once it is all snapped together. I knew it was like that when I bought it, but I think you might be disappointed if you didn't realize it was built like this before buying. The price is much better than the fancier, sturdier kind, and this actually packs up more easily. We will order another so that we have 2 for our future parties.

To be honest, I've used the 3 plates more than I've used this as a set. The tiered stand is easy and intuitive to put together and looks great. But those plates are a great size for serving appetizers or deserts. Clean white lines allow these plates to look right at both elegant and casual gatherings, and allow the food you've put on them to be the star. Considering buying more.
