Mine works just fine. Read the instructions. They say not to place it on a finished wood surface. Do not place it on carpet or rugs. Place on a level surface with a mat underneath it. Do not remove the top with water still left in it or if there's water still in the base -- it WILL "leak" as this triggers the release nozzle and overfills the transducer cavity. This can also cause the unit to work intermittently or stop working altogether. If not using for more than two days, empty it of all water and dry it -- this will prevent bacteria, mold, and probably the rust that one person got. Use distilled water. Do not use if the existing humidity in the room is above 50%. If condensation occurs, turn it off. The extended run time is an ESTIMATE based on average room conditions. If you run on low, it will run longer. Room conditions differ and may affect the length of run time. It's not a "set it and forget it" product. It requires attention and care. Be responsible for your actions, people.

I was scared a bit to buy it after reading all the negative reviews. However I like it a lot. You have to read manual and everything will be fine. Of course it doesn’t look like an expensive brand, however price is low too. It looks ok. Just a normal plastic.

Loove it! My nose would be so dry and stuffy but once i used this humidifier that went away!

I cannot attest to the life of this product since i’ve only had this for a couple weeks, but since my first use it’s worked perfectly! I needed a new humidifier in preparation for dry fall and winter season. This was super easy to set up, plug in, and use. Follow the instructions and you’ll be good to go. It’s silent and can run for hours when filled fully. It’s also so sleek in comparison to other humidifiers that i wouldn’t want sitting out. I recommend!!!!

Easy to clean and use without making a mess. Haven’t experienced any leaking issues like many other reviews.

I absolutely love this product. My doctor recommended I get a humidifier for my sinuses and this one is perfect. It’s not ugly, it’s small enough to fit nicely on a night stand or dresser, and I love that I can add essential oil. My only complaint is that I wish I could find the pads for essential oils separately.

I’ve bought 3, one for each bedroom, and I really like it! I’ve had no issues with it leaking other than one instance of user error on my part.

I don’t know who’s soul, holmes, sold to the Beelzebub himself to make a humidifier this powerful, but okay… Now I don’t know how much lead is in the paint chips these other reviewers are eating but it’s common sense to me, if your furniture is made of what is basically glossy paper glued to pressed cardboard and wood chips don’t put this on that. Get you something solid like plastic or wood with a good sealant and then put a little hand towel underneath. This humidifier is powerful. The most effective I’ve seen in my life thus far and I’ve owned many many many humidifiers. Look at pics I posted at how I have mine set up. Also there is no hole on the bottom of the humidifier. This is the easiest thing to set up, use, refill, clean, and maintain. No mold or mineral build up. Small reservoir and yet mighty! As you can see from the photos there’s a lot of moisture and condensation that will build up around the machine. Plan accordingly. Don’t put sensitive electronics or rare and ancient artifacts made of papyrus around it!

Love this humidifier. I do not experience any leaking with mine. It is a bit bigger than I expected, but it blends well with decor. The only thing is with the amount of water it holds, it does not last all night. I’d say it gives about 4-5 hours of steam. But overall very simple and great use!
