Assembly is simple, just 8 Allen screws. Mounting the shelf is like hanging a picture frame rather than installing a cabinet. You don't tighten screws through the shelf, you have to line up 2 keyholes on the back of the frame, which means the frame blocks your view while you're trying to hang the shelf. That wouldn't be a big deal, except the heads of the screws they give you are too big for the keyholes. Getting the first keyhole over the screw is doable because you can maneuver it into place at an angle. But now you can't approach the other screw at an angle because the first screw acts like a hinge and the only approach is straight-on. But the screw head is too big. I had to dig through a pile of screws in my garage to find 2 with smaller heads. Another reviewer mentioned that the shelves bow. I tested this with a 3lb. dumbbell and the slats do bow a little bit. I don't think they would snap, but this shelf is definitely only meant for lightweight items like towels, toilet paper, small candles, etc. Still, the shelf has a nice finish, looks good on the wall, and it does what I need it to do.

Surprisingly good shelf for the weight I’ve asked it to carry! Distribute your items and anchor it into the wall. Cheaper than many other counterparts and blends nicely into my bathroom.

Beautiful, sleek-designed, and well manufactured shelf that can be upholstered on a wall if you don't mind drilling holes in your wall. It can also sit on a desk, table or just on the carpet as shown in the images. I like how this shelf can be used in any room of your house. The two tiers provide sufficient storage and they appear to be sturdy enough to hold heavy items. It appears to be made with high quality material as indicated on the packaging when it mentions that it’s rust resistant. The only downside was that since I'm not good with assembling shelves, it took an hour for everything to start snapping in my brain aka the light switch to go on and for me to finally just know how to assemble it. Was easy to assemble and would have been exactly what I was looking for, however the shelves were bowed and made thing wobble when set on the shelf. Had to return.

This item was manufactured crooked. The attachments were not welded at 90° so the square shape wasn’t square, and it was obvious.

Poor quality- looks cheap. Returning it.
