Keep your indoor cat entertained with this interactive cat toy puzzle, a felt maze box that’s perfect for playtime in any home. Its clever design sparks curiosity and activity, making it an ideal choice for cat owners looking to add some excitement to their pet’s day.
We’ve been trying to find simple, interesting toys to engage our older kitty beyond one of us dangling a mouse in front of her. We ordered this Enoiem interactive puzzle toy, thinking it would be an excellent candidate. We’re impressed with its design; a simple, lightweight, durable felt play box with “puzzle” holes to interest a feline in the three “jingle bell” balls inside. The complete absence of electronics is refreshing. And with its detachable cover, both pieces can be cleaned easily with a pet hair remover.Unfortunately, we couldn’t entice our cat Phoebe to engage, despite sprinkling some catnip on top and inside the box and trying to coax her to it. However, our two prior middle age rescue cats, both very active (and now in heaven) would have “jumped” at an opportunity to play with a toy such as this.Because of the simple, flexible design — and all of its features designed to intrigue cats, we recommend this interactive puzzle toy highly.
My cat has really been enjoying this toy. I've had it for a week or so now and she was interested in it before I even opened it. I think she could hear the balls rattling around in there I knew it was for her. This kind of toy is excellent for cats because it works with their natural predator instincts to catch small prey hiding under things. I have an indoor cat that gets very bored and sometimes gets very clingy. It's nice to be able to give her a new toy like this because she doesn't have anything like it yet and it has been keeping her interest for a good 30 minutes twice a day. It's by her food so I think she just plays with it while she waits for me to feed her. It's like her food bell. It's kind of a thick stiff felt material. She also has a cat tree that is made of the same kind of material that is super durable so I would assume that this would be roughly as durable being the same material. She hasn't managed to damage it yet. The nice thing about felt is that it repels water so I don't anticipate it getting soggy even if I let her keep it by her water that spills sometimes. I have thrown treats in there but she hasn't figured out how to get them yet but boy does she try. I like that it has a natural calming colors and nothing too bright or jarring so it kind of blends in to my space. It doesn't take up too much room in the cat area and it's not super loud so she plays with it in the middle of the night it doesn't bother anyone. She's also gotten into chewing on the felt so maybe that's an added bonus that the felt is fun to chew on.
This Enioem Cat Puzzle Box rocks! It is a thick felt box with variously shaped holes on top and four jingle balls inside. The cat swipes at the balls through the holes. The more assertive and playful of my two cats came running when he heard the jingle balls! He attacked the puzzle box immediately, before I could even get the first pictures taken--resulting in some great action shots! (See photos.) He stalked it, sniffed around it, and lunged at the balls through the holes, again and again. He was actually purring--loud and long--while he was playing! (Which I have never seen him do with a cat toy before, no matter how much he enjoys it!)Occasionally I heard him batting at it afterwards. But I suspect that this toy--as fascinated as he was with it at first--may prove to be a "one hit wonder." We shall see if he continues to play with it and enjoy it over the long haul.Different cats have different tastes in cat toys. My other, shier cat had no interest in this toy. She hasn't even investigated it. To be fair, I rarely see her playing with toys unless I dangle something in her face. For her, I think the immediate stimulation and human company are what make the toys enjoyable. I will be surprised if she picks up on this puzzle box.I like the fact that this puzzle box is made out of felt rather than wood. The thick felt seems sturdy enough (as long as kitty doesn't sit on it!), and it is much softer on kitty's paws while he's rapidly thrusting them through the holes to catch the balls. I really love the variety in the sizes and shapes of the holes! That gives kitty some variety and the leeway to take long swipes. (Many cat puzzle boxes only have round holes--no variety and no challenge!) The long curved holes in particular allow kitty to see the balls moving around inside better and to dig deeper and longer. Thankfully, the balls are a little larger than the holes on the sides, so they can't escape. You can get cat puzzle boxes for anywhere from $10 to $100. Most of them run between $15 and $30. This one is probably priced around average. You can get a cheaper one that does pretty much the same thing. If your cat likes puzzle boxes, this is one of the best! It is made of soft but sturdy felt and has a good variety of hole shapes and sizes. You can get a similar box for about half the price. But you can't go wrong with this one. Your puzzle-loving hunter will be purring too!
Great little interactive toy for our super active kitten! She loves to play with it. Not only does she work at trying to get the balls out but she tries to figure out how to get her other toys in it! Keeps her occupied for a long time!
Cat likes this alot. Keeps him interested and it seems well made.
