Great mouse, but not for 8KHz

Honestly, this mouse is very good, I like all aspects of it. Build quality is great; plastic is good and your hand doesn't slide on it, rubber provides extra grip. All buttons have pretty short travel time and are very responsive. Cable is long and sturdy, some people say it's too long, but in my opinion it's better to have long cable but not use all of it rather than have short cable and have to adapt for it's shortness. Side buttons are mirrored, so instead of button 4,5,6,7 there are 2 button 4 and 2 button 5, I didn't know and wasn't expecting that. Side buttons can be turned off on each side if you want it, but if you want to use them all, I'd recommend assigning buttons to respective key bindings cos otherwise you'll have 2 buttons doing same thing. There's nothing to say about RGB lighting because the only RGB part on the mouse is being covered by your palm and you never see it. One downside of side buttons is that if you want to use them all, those that are on the opposite side of your thumb will be tricky to use. Probably the biggest downside of this mouse is the lack of button on mouse itself to change mouse profiles; you should either open Synapse app and change it from there or assign one of the buttons for it Viper got a vast DPI range and it's fully customizable. You manually choose DPI level from 100 to 20000 with 50 increments, although I can't even imagine what kind of person would use 20k DPI. You can also set DPI stages from 2 to 5 with entirely customizable sensitivity levels. As for 8KHz polling rate, it's kind of ahead of it's time. I tested in several different games, and most of them do NOT support such high polling rates. Usually its 2KHz, so far only BF4 was able to hold more than that - 4KHz. In strategy games polling rate didn't seem to matter at all, it was all the same in 2KHz and 8KHz.

Best Mouse For Comp Gaming

The Viper is already brilliant for Comp, this only improves it. My only complaint is the cable. Expect to get a mouse bungee. The higher your monitor refresh rate, the more you'll notice a difference. Make sure you actually set it to 8K polling rate in Synapse. 8K works perfectly on Overwatch, Quake Champions, Halo Infinite(flight), Battlefield, R6S. CSGO struggles to work at 8K, but works fine on 4K. This is a problem on CS' end, not Razer. Regardless of how good your PC is, FPS drops to single digits at 8K. Even so, the 4K bump is an advantage you want.

Overall amazing mouse!

The razer ciper mini is a great mouse for gaming! I used to have a red dragon M601 gaming mouse and it was so unresponsive, so I decided to upgrade to a professional mouse. The mouse is about the same size as the M601 so it felt great to me. I got the corded version of the mouse, so I can't really say anything about the battery life. The lights are just the right amount of flashy, I just wish they were brighter... Overall, amazing mouse!!!

Best economical mouse for claw grip. period.

I tend to rage and smash my keyboard and mouse in the moment. Needless to say I get to try many cheap but brand mice. I tend to stay in the $30 and lower if possible range when purchasing new mice. I loved the logitech g203 mouse, it was my go to. The sensor was perfect and it was a comfortable ambidextrous shape which imo is better for my style of grip. I decided to give the viper mini a try after giving my corsair harpoon pro a good smashing. For $10 more than my usual spending, I was hesitant as I know one day it'll end up in the trash lol. But I'm happy I decided on it because it is much better than the g203. After a session with the viper mini I couldn't bare holding the g203 anymore. The indentions on the side of the Mini are the perfect spot for my thumb and ring finger. It's also lighter than the g203 which imo feels much easier to throw around on the mousepad and lock onto targets with. The sensor between the viper mini and g203 are a toss up, both feel amazing. If I was told they were the same sensor I'd believe it. The Viper Mini is for sure my go to from now on. All in all, if you go through mice like dirty underwear and/or are in the market for a good deal on a decent mouse, this is the one I recommend all day. I'm back on the razer train again.

Great for small hands!

I’m a woman gamer with small hands and DANG is it hard to find a mouse that is appropriately sized. I was specifically looking for a smaller, wired mouse that would be comfortable to use for long gaming sessions, and this one has been perfect. I was also fully prepared to spend up to $100 to find what I needed, but fortunately this one is everything I needed for a great price. The lighting is a fun bonus, and the Razer software for assigning button commands is super easy to use (and is less finicky than other brands I’ve used).

Viper Mini - Excellent

The Viper Mini is a steal at $30. If you want a lightweight mouse that feels great in the hand, and is good for any type of game (except maybe an MMO, if you like binding those 12 buttons) -- this has been my favorite on the market in the last few years. I'm a right handed person and I didn't even know there were 2 right side buttons for like six months, so they definitely don't get in the way or anything like that. I'm sure some people use them, but I just use it like a regular 5 button mouse, and I love it.

Great for those with small hands

I chose the wired mini-viper. I've found it to be a great mouse for gaming. I have small hands so it fits perfectly. It's lightweight for fast moving. All of the buttons respond instantly so I'm making more shots that with the "other" mouse I was using. I'm very impressed with the mini-Viper that I just ordered a second one! It has just enough buttons for Fortnite and button placement is perfect. I don't have to feel around searching for them like I did on a regular sized mouse. I absolutely recommend this mini-mouse!
