Easy to set up and customize. Instantly solved my lag time. Increased my wifi range and strength. Able to support multiple devices at once with ease (we have 6 on at any given time). Security options as well as setting up “guest” logins. Love it! Wish I purchased this 3 years ago.

Fantastic buy - wish I would have gotten this sooner. Ordered online and picked up in the store and couldn’t have been any easier. Extremely easy to set up and was up and running in no time.

I was replacing a 5 year old modem and router, the Motorola AC1900 modem/router was an easy set up and fast connection. Only issue was to call the cable company so they could recognize the modem, they needed a MAC address. Once that was completed, the internet came on with no problem. The modem came with its own password that is used for that modem only, so the connection is very safe. The speed is very good too. Don't forget to call the cable company so they can register the modem!

Installation was easy. Super easy to understand instructions . Registering it with Cox online was easy and took very little time. I get full coverage of my entire house now, and the modem / router is on the far end of my house.
Why
Bought to upgrade to Docsis 3 and took the opportunity to upgrade and consolidate the router. Gave an immediate speed boost and the signal is strong thru the house (mg7550 is in the basement). Easy setup, as expected nowadays, and have not had to power cycle, unlike the older device. A bit pricey, as I consider this a mid level device.

We have Xfinity for our internet, actually bundled package for internet, home security, home phone *which we never used...not even plugged in* and cable. We have a 2700+ sq ft house, 2 story and we do have some trouble at times with our wi-fi reaching all over, especially outside on the porch. Not to mention when we are paying for 1Gig service and our wi-fi PCs are only getting download speeds of 150 MBPS we are a bit grumpy about it. So we looked for an alternative to their modem. This modem is the one that kept coming up as the best one. The fastest, the greatest of all time....you get the picture. So we got it home, set it up, ran a speed test and whomp whomp....no better if not worse than the Xfinity Modem. Wrapped it up and took it back post haste. So if you have the Xfinity modem already don't bother. If you don't have a modem or don't want to pay Xfinity monthly rent then sure, go for it...but if you are looking for better reach for your wi-fi or stronger or faster than what you already have with the Xfinity then don't bother. We might try the Xfinity Pods and see if those help with the reach.
