Cheap Plastic Wheels Break

We bought two of these dollys and the wheels failed on both after one day of moving a few boxes and one dresser. The advertised 440 weigh limit is incorrect - it is much less. The cheap plastic wheels cracked in half and scratched my very expensive hardwood floors. The wheels are not heavy duty. Rubber wheels would make this a winner. As is it’s too cheap. Do not recommend.

Junk

Press board. Pre drilled holes look like they were drilled with a spoon. The wheels are cheap and wouldn’t roll over and ice rink. Used it to move some dressers so I’ll keep it now. More hassle than it was worth.

The Wheel Broke on the First Use

Assembly was simple and the instructions were easy to follow. Unfortunately, I placed an item on it weighing less than 60 pounds and one of the plastic wheels shattered. I made certain it was assembled correctly but the plastic wheel could not sustain even 60 pounds.

FULL ASSEMBLY REQUIRED

First off, unlike the Vestil FWD-1824-3R Fiberwood Dolly with 3" Rubber Casters, 800 lbs Capacity, 23-3/4" Length x 17-7/8" Width x 4-11/16" Height Deck , which I'd previously purchased back in October 2016 (but which was out of stock when I placed this order), this dolly doesn't come fully assembled. Which IS NOT revealed in the "about this product" blurb as of 5/25/18. This was a severe disappointment and to make matters worse, the holes that are pre-drilled aren't deep enough. Further, the Medium Density Fiberboard is hard enough that you are NOT going to be able to use a manual screw driver to get the short screws in because of the incomplete pre-drilled holes (which makes the operation of the wheels that much more not smooth in the rotation needed for back and forth movement). Don't assume the buyer has a really good powered screwdriver to make your product usable. In addition, the wheels don't appear durable and because they are made of a slick, hard plastic, they are likely to slide rather than roll if you're using this for heavy objects on either wood, laminate, or rug surfaces.I'm not going to return it because I'm just going to give it to my spouse to use for whatever they find it useful for rather than being able to use it for the task I needed a dolly of this size for. I am, unfortunately, going to have to order the Vestil FWD-1824-3R Fiberwood Dolly with 3" Rubber Casters, 800 lbs Capacity, 23-3/4" Length x 17-7/8" Width x 4-11/16" Height Deck instead and just wait for when it becomes available because I know it is both a better product and that it comes fully assembled.

Piece of Crap - Go to Home Depot Instead

Absolutely outrageous way to do business. This is a piece of unlaminated particleboard that will literally fall apart the first time it touches water. Came with casters and not even enough screws to attach them all. I mean, they should at least count, and put in as many screws as they pre-drilled holes; we all learned how to do that in Kindergarden. Since you will need a drill anyway to get these screws in, save yourself the aggravation and just go to a hardware store, buy some casters, and screw them into a board. You will end up with a higher-quality product. No matter how low your assessment of your own skills, the result will be better than this.

Do Not Buy!!!!

When I received the two I bought, I was originally concerned. I did not see in the product description that they were MDF. When I received two mdf dollies, I was initially very apprehensive. I put very light weight stuff on it the first night of use. They performed well above what I expected for mdf dollies with 1/4 " screws holding on cheap plastic 1" wheels. I let the appearance of utility lead me to overtrust them...The third night of use, there was some very slight rain. That was apparently enough to weaken one of the dollies just from what was kicked up by the wheels rolling over damp sidewalks, and the mdf split in half. Luckily nothing was destroyed by the complete failure of the dolly. I unfortunately the that dolly away without taking a picture of it.I accused one of the helpers moving stuff of being too rough with the dolly. I was wrong to blame the person, but still I foolhardy trudged ahead using cheap dollies. The second broke a short while later as it went over a 1/4 " lip on a door threshold. Not wanting you to think I'm overestimating what the dolly can handle, it was carrying a small box, roughly 30 lbs, with a very expensive piece of electronics. I told the helper to use the dolly, thinking that would be safer than carrying the electronics. Was I wrong!?!Now, I'm out the money for both dollies, as well as $1000ish dollars to replace electronics that broke as they spilled out of the box from the dolly shattering three of the four wheels. I have included the picture of the wheels to demonstrate the shoddy craftsmanship. 440lb weight capacity is a COMPLETE LIE!!!DO NOT BUY THESE!!!
