Prefer Blossom Cup

1. Uncomfortable. Something about the stem-the gripping ribs or that it is hollow and blunt at the end, I'm not sure-but it catches my labia/vaginal opening and is often downright painful. 2. Bacteria friendly holes. The diva cup has small holes around the top, I presume to break suction. It also has ribs on the hollow stem. Although it may enhance grip, just more areas for bacteria to hide IMO if not properly and painstakingly washed. 3. Leaks. I had a blossom cup and lost it, so I thought I would give the highly-rated Diva Cup a go. I have never overflowed out of my Blossom Cup, even during extremely heavy periods. The Diva Cup however has leaked three times this period. It also starts, for lack of a better term, "sagging" when it gets full. It starts coming out and once it came out entirely! It doesn't seem to form a suction to hold itself in place like the Blossom does. Or perhaps it is too soft to be structurally sound? Whatever the case, I was much happier with Blossom. I haven't yet tried Lunnette, but I've heard good things and wonder how it compares. Just fyi, the Blossom stem is solid silicone, and not ribbed. I have never had an issue with grip or slippage or overflows. Hope this helps you make an informed decision.

I do not think the sizing is appropriate

I purchased the post childbirth size about a year ago. At the time I had just given birth to my first child less than a year ago. I found this size to be very uncomfortable. I was told by some other users to give it a try for a few cycles and I did but I never got used to it. I also tried trimming the pull tab and that still did not help and I soon stopped using it and when back to disposable products. Now I am stuck with this one because trying it for a few cycles put me outside of the return window and have to purchase the smaller size to try. I am not happy to have to be out the money again.

It leaks

I'm 27 years old with no kids and I bought this product thinking it would eliminate my need to buy and wear tampons, pads etc. I was wrong! It leaks constantly, don't know why..I put it in the right way and everything but for some reason it doesn't seem like its the right fit for me. My period is heavy the first 2 days and thats, of course when it leaks the most. Also its very messy to clean. When u first take it out you run the risk of spilling it on yourself! Pretty disgusting, especially if you don't have access to washing your hands right away. Honestly, I wouldn't have bought it knowing all these things. Gross!

I REALLY wanted to love this...

I really really wanted to like this product. I hate the waste of tampons and pads. I've read so many rave reviews on this product...but I could NOT get it to stay in. I got the bigger size but no matter what I do...it just falls out 😢

This is not a one-size fits all. You may need the smaller one!

This was much too large. Even though the specifications state this is for women over 30 or have had children, this was not the case for me. I purchased this and tried it out and it will not fit, would not open, and was just generally a waste of money. My OB has to use the smallest speculum on me so perhaps that should have made me consider the smaller cup. If you are unsure you could ask your OB. Even though I am late 30's with 2 children, I cannot use the size 2. Hope this helps! I ordered the LENA cup size small and it works much better. Couple hints: 1: NO NAILS. If you have nails, cut them down or don't even bother with one of these. You have to be able to turn it to open it fully and that means finger work. 2: Be really comfortable reaching in there.. you know what I mean! 3. You can easily boil this like you would baby bottle nipples to sanitize.

Not so impressed

I tried this product because I was sick of leaking tampons and having to change them every hour or so at my heaviest. I had no problems inserting the Diva cup properly. It was less comfortable to me than a tampon just because I could feel it. It did help some what when I cut the bottom tip all the way off. I was disappointed that I still leaked a little and found the process of removal and washing to be quite disgusting. It would not work at all in a public restroom. I purchased this in hopes that I would be able to go more than 6 hours between washings but that was not possible. So to date, I have not used it again since. I may try it again during swim season because I hate those long strings.

Not for me.

Horribly uncomfortable. I just could not imagine using this. It felt huge and awkward and just awful. I really wanted this to work as I'd heard great things. Sadly it was a total fail. I really tried to make it work. My body just was not having it. So that's that. Oh well.

No me resultó en lo absoluto. Traté en múltiples ocasiones y siempre hubo liqueos.

Darn

My Diva Cup promised me Eco-friendly, easy, and clean menstruation. What I got? A cup that leaked all over the place. My sister had this happen to her too. It may just be the shape of my body, but I wish I new that before buying it so I could put that money towards a cup that works. I'm back to using pads.
