Not where the 5 year olds could do much but stir the color in . Not difficult and the finished soap looks nice .The buddies could really only watch . I was hoping it was more of a craft project for the boys .A good price for $9.99----as is way over priced .

I liked the packaging and the simplicity of the experiment; however one of the plastic molds did not click together properly and when you do close it the opening you pour into is so small the wax gets stuck unless it is very hot. Even when it is really hot its hard to fill the hold mold up.

The directions weren’t great. Made these with a friends daughter for Christmas. She was so excited to make a rainbow dinosaur. We tried and well, that was a failure. You’d have to use all your soap to make a rainbow. Stick to just one color per dino, and it works much better. She was disappointed, but had a fun time once we moved on from trying to make the rainbow one she wanted.

Not as simple as the instructions make it seem. We had to put the Pyrex measuring cup in a pot of near boiling water on the stove, after first melting on the microwave, to keep the soap melted enough to add the color/fragrance. After that it worked just fine. It was definitely a learning curve.

I bought 2 of these for my 6 year old grandchildren. So far, one kit has been opened & used. The set was missing one of the three dino molds but had 2 of another. It was missing the green dye but had an extra scent packet. Of all colors to be missing, it had to be the green? My grandson was not too happy about making all of his dinosaurs non-green.

I got this for my dino-loving daughter. There wasn't much of it she could do on her own as an adult has to microwave the soap squares and then when I tried to let her add the color and scent, by the time she got it in, the soap had started to re-harden. We also did not get as many dinos out of it as the box said. It was all over in about 10 minutes and not really worth the money. However, the molds worked fine and the soap came out of them easily. The glitter was her favorite part.

It’s a neat project to do with kids. I like it mainly for the simplicity and that it attracts all Dino lovers. There are two things I would recommend to the seller which is product design and quality control. The molds -which are the selling point of this product - do not come together nicely. It’s a good thing they offer a small tool to help smoothen the soap bar. Good news, you can just reuse the excess that is scraped off and reheat it for a different dinosaur. But I have to ding the company on the quality control. It is a shame that whoever was inspecting had missed this. One of my molds cannot close because... well it’s facing in the same direction (see photo).Overall, it’s a good concept. It does bring an introduction into the cosmetic industry/toilet manufacturing. It inspires kids to wash their hands. This product just needs a little more development into the mold production (I wouldn’t mind paying a little more for quality) and get on top of their inspection points. I really hope they do improve this product more. It’s a neat project to do with my little ones.
