More fun for kids than for the supervising adult

My 5 yo loved making dinosaurs with different colors and scents. You have to heat the soap up to melt it and then quickly pour it in the mold, so the adult will do most of the work here (for younger kids) and the kid will just pick out colors/scents. You have to work fast and try not to let your kid pick more than 2 colors per dinosaur because when you divide the soap that many ways it gets very hard to pour it before it cools. It comes with a glitter packet too, but I quickly removed that before my kid saw it and got any bright ideas. Who needs glitter in their soap?!?!

Fun little project.

pretty cool, easy to follow directions. Mine came without 2 molds but my nephew didn't mind. Customer service is nice offered to send me a replacement of the molds but my nephew already used all the soap so there isn't a need for it. The soap scent is great! Didn't use the soap after if was made but enjoyed the smell while helping my nephew make it.

Fun activity

Could be easier to use. The molds leak/seep on the sides so you get weird edges on the soaps. Not terrible, but thought it was worth a mention. The kit I bought came with 2 of the same scent, supposed to be 2 different scents. One seemed to have leaked a little but still had enough for all the soap blocks. For kids there is patience needed especially with multiple colors because you have to wait for the each layer to become a solid so it can take several hours to make one soap.Wish there was a second stand so you could do 2 soaps at once. You can only do one at a time because the molds have to stand and I couldn’t find another contraption to hold another one up.Overall liked the product and the price was great. Nice little project to do at home with kids.

Quality Control needed...

The product is good. My daughter loved it but the only reason I gave 4 star is that it contained one tyrannosaurus and two triceratops instead of 1x steggosarus and 1x triceratops and 1x tyrannosaurus. This tells me that their quality control is lacking... my daughter was disappointed but.. she came around after I promised her I will get it next time again but... I don't know if I will ever until they fix their quality control..

Few retries but great shapes!

Pros: Fun to make and use.Cons: Few retries. Our son loves dinosaurs and this would be an awesome way to encourage him to use soap when needed. The outcome of this is you get good dinosaur shapes that your child will recognize. The mold process took us a few times though because we took too long to pour into the mold. The good thing is that re-heating it was perfectly fine. I suggest to have your molds stay close to the your heating source (especially during cold days). It does get somewhat messy so I suggest preparing for it. I don’t think a child should do this alone just because the liquid can be hot for some.Overall, the shape of the dinosaurs are great and our kid usually smiles when picking it up to wash hands.

Fun activity for you and your child!

Like other reviewers have said, the molds are super hard to press together, and the molds do not fully connect, so your melted soap goes into the crevices and the soap is not perfect, but you can use the carver to correct this.Overall, my son and I had a great time making these and I would probably give these to people as a gift!Helpful hint: have everything ready before you melt the wax and add your ingredients very fast!! Or else the wax melts very fast and it won’t pour into the mold!! I had to reheat the wax a million times to get it all in the molds.
