This vacuum worked very well on hardwood floors and tile. The reason for my 1-star rating is because of my frustration over paying so much for what is supposed to be a smart vacuum, yet it cannot clean dark carpeting. I have a black carpet and was most excited for the Roomba to be able to clean it, but it continuously gave “Error 6” which is an error when it is cleaning a dark surface or “driving off a cliff edge”, such as stairs. For such a trusted brand in the robo-vacuum realm, it is underwhelming that this device cannot determine the difference in “going off a cliff edge” versus cleaning a black carpet. When purchasing this, I had not seen any reviews mention this issue. A YouTube search for help led me to find that others also have had this issue, but were able to fix it with putting white tape over the sensors. I also attempted this as well, but it did not work and I should have not even had to do that. Roomba support attempted to troubleshoot this by having me unscrew the area underneath where the brushes are held and putting it back on, but it did not work as this is more of an issue in how the device sensors have been programmed for operation rather than a hardware issue.

Purchased this vacuum to replace a shark robot vacuum and it is awful. It gets “stuck” on anything and everything, can never find its way back to the base to charge after running, etc… going back to shark!

It stuck very easily. I used to have another robot from a different manufacturer and it worked much much better. This one sucks, really sucks.

It’s a terrible product. First of all charging - it can never dock properly. Docking it manually takes a few tries as it needs to be in the exact spot. So docking station is useless but there is no way to just plug a cable to charge it. Multiple times it looked like it was charging and then when I need to use it, it turns out the battery is dead and so I need to wait 3 hours for it to charge. Vacuuming is also poor. There are always spots that haven’t been cleaned, moreover it damages furniture - all table and chair legs are chipped where the Roomba hits them. Also it gets stuck all the time even as it approaches the stairs it won’t just back up, it will stop and you need to move it to a new location. Most of the issues get worse with time too. I am lazy do it beats vacuuming manually but I will definitely choose a different brand next time.

How can i not replace such an expensive item? Im a single mom of 3 and the bristle's are stuck together and i cleaned then out so thoroughly so upsetting
Stopped working
Bought this for my daughter for Christmas this past year. Here we are in May and it stopped working altogether. Very Disappointed in this product
