I'd read many reviews about this product before I decided to purchase. I'm so happy that I did. I'm not familiar with this brand, as this is my first purchase from Gelish, though I did take note that others are saying it's a knock-off. If it is, I would never have known; these polishes work beautifully. I've been doing my own gel nails for a few months, but I first got into gel nails in the salon about 6 months ago-- I'm pleased to have found a less expensive alternative that actually works and gives me the quality that I received from going to the salon. I'm by no means a good "nail polisher;" in fact, I'm known for having horrible nails for the first 3 hours of having painted my nails with regular polish (the air-dry stuff). Not anymore! My nails look professionally done for a fraction of the price. Yes, this set is a bit more expensive but it lasts. There's a lot in each individual container. Besides, a little goes a long way. And $30 is what you'd pay at a salon for a single set of nails, anyways. There's a smell, I won't lie. Open up the window and do this in a well-ventilated area. You knew that! My first set of at-home gel nail polish came from Sensationail. Sensationail gel polish starter kit - pink chiffon You get what you pay for, but I'm happy to have gained the experience for only $25. I still use the light that this set came with, and it works perfectly. The colors I paint with are from Modelones. Modelones Gel Nail Polish Set - Soak Off UV LED 8 Tiny Bottles Gift Box The Gelish seems to react perfectly to the ModelOnes polishes-- like a match made in Heaven. I also remove my cuticles with the Sally Hansen Cuticle Remover Sally Hansen Instant Cuticle Remover, 1 Fluid Ounce (Pack of 2) , although I must note you need to thoroughly, thoroughly clean your hands before the Gelish even gets near your finger nails after using the cuticle remover-- the oil won't allow the Foundation to adhere. Obviously. :) This is a powerful set! It protects your nails, lasts forever, and has so much product, I'm convinced I'll be set for AT LEAST year. Again, if you're having doubts about the price, recall that this set is a trip to the salon-- and you'll get far more out of it than you would with that visit! :)

These work great, I originally had ordered the square-ish bottles in the picture and the polish lasted SO long but I recently re-ordered and got the bottles on the left, they look bigger but hold the same amount, I use them in conjunction with Aimeili gel polish colors and an LED UV light I got off of Amazon, I only have to do my nails like once a month!

I've been doing my nails at home for a couple of years and used a no-name brand foundation/top coat successfully. Then I decided to upgrade to OPI base/top coat when those ran out. It turned out to be far from an upgrade. The polish came off in sheets and within days, not weeks. After trying to trouble shoot, I finally gave up and purchase these. Problem solved! Nail polish stays on for 1.5 to 2 weeks with no issues once again!

Love this combo, the foundation for natural nails ( you don’t need to apply to an acrylic) but for the natural nails you should use it, it will make the gel color stay on longer. The top coat is an all time fav!! They use this top coat in every nail salon I have ever been to. Since this COVID 19 pandemic I have been doing my own nails, so I ordered everything that the nail professionals use. It is a wonderful top coat, I suggest you do 2 minutes under the UV light, I have found the longer the better really, you will also need to use a cleaner typically rubbing alcohol is used at the end of drying just give them a wipe down with alcohol.

I love this product. I had some issues with the top coat being to thick, and wouldn't dry completely, but it took some time to get used to it and now it works perfect. I work as a CNA so I am always putting gloves on and washing my hands, the top coat will start to yellow after 3 weeks, but come on.... 3 WEEKS! I also garden daily and take care of 200+ chickens, 30+ cows, and a horse. It does chip if I apply to much, so it takes some effort for me as a beginner with nails, but I recommend this product to everyone. I love it. I DO use it with my China Glaze polish. I only have issues with using them together if I paint the whole nail. If I just do small details then it works just fine. No issues at all. When I paint the whole nail, the gel chips off a lot easier. It will chip off in about a weeks time. I have flowers and black swirls on my nail now, and they have lasted 3 weeks.

I am not a nail tech but I do my own nails and nail art. I like Gelish and this was a great buy. I use this a few different ways. I usually use a coat or two of structure with all my gel manis for extra strength because I am very hard on my nails because of my job. I might do an all clear mani and just use real nail polish on top of it along with a regular topcoat. I have also used real nail polish on top of the base and a couple coats of structure and used the gel top coat once my regular nail polish was completely and totally dry. And since I do like to chance my colors often I have started using a regular base coat first so that my removal in one week is easier.

I've owned my own Gelish set for going on 4 years for my own in home personal use. I orginally bought it at Sally's Beauty Supply, same great quality just much smaller size. I was so excited to see this set. LARGE bottles for half of what I had been paying. The brushes are larger which does take a bit to get use to but I am really happy with this product.

They are the perfect set for the shellac at home. I received them a little later than i wanted so i had to buy the ones at sally's but they came individually wrapped and are the correct size. i tried them once to make sure they were good, and they worked wonderful!

Great product - brushes make the base and top coats go on easily and have a tough but shiny finish. Definitely recommend!!

Gelish is a good brand, just wish I could get it right like the pros at the salon.
