I just gave this to our 6 yr old son after his 1st day of school and he enjoyed putting it together. The reason I gave it 1 star is because the light only works when it is plugged in and the cord is only about 1 ft long. It's suppose to work on batteries, but they do not hold a charge. Otherwise, I would have gave it 4 stars because I feel they could have sent a longer cord.

We were gifted this. Kids were so excited. After setting everything up, realized that this kit Didn’t come with seeds. Kids are disappointed. Can’t grow anything. Now we have to go to Home Depot to buy seeds.

This would have been a 5 stars if the seed pack wasn't missing. My daughter received this for her birthday and she was so disappointed.

Cute terrarium and my daughter loved it. BUT , when i plugged the lid in to charge the light it MELTED AND ALMOST CAUGHT FIRE!?!? i can't find a way to contact the company to request a replacement lid and my daughter doesn't want to ship the whole thing back... so we're stuck with one that doesn't have a working light :-(

Maybe a cool idea, only on the paper though, and picture looks nice but unrealistic. We received one of these as gift. The plants will overgrow the container and knock down the miniatures inside it. It will only last for 1-2 weeks max before they overgrow it any by that you’ll be throwing it away. Layering the soil so perfectly as in the picture is not easy and hardly comes close to that. I recommend something else.

This is just a more expensive version of the Creativity for Kids Grow N' Glow Terrarium. Save your money and buy that one :). It's half the price, and all of their products have a money back guarantee if you aren't 100% satisfied.

I love this idea. It just is kind of a frustrating mess. My kids 7 and 5 cannot leave it alone. So it’s been knocked over, spilled, totally messed up. It still grew! So, there is some value, but lots of disappointment. The little stones and toys are not that special and the light in the lid is kind of a pain to charge. If I had it to do again I would just get some potting soil, a jar, and some chia seeds. My kids are very well-behaved, good listeners—but this gives every indication of being a kids toy that they can pick up and look at. They very much enjoyed putting it together. But...that means it will tip and spill and get messed up.

Came with no lid and no cable. Ridiculous! This was a gift for Christmas. Very disappointed.

I ordered two of these. Two grandsons that live in different parts of the country. One was great and the second was delivered without the top or the USB cord. I'll be returning.

I bought this as a birthday gift for my 9 year old and the light in the lid would not work even after charging it. My child was very disappointed. I expected a better made product for $25.
