They are SO soft! I haven't had to try wearing them in the cold weather yet, but I am sure they will be warmer than regular leggings. They do fit snugly - almost like tights - so you may want to up the size a tad. I usually wear a M so went with the M/L.
Their still a little small, and I got an XL . Besides that their comfortable.

They aren't fleece, but they are warm and comfy. I'll give them a 5 on everything else, fit,comfort and quality. Truly they would be too bulky if they were fleece lined. I love the.. I'm 5'7" 190 and bought xl. They fit fine, room grow or lose.
