I just love these. Bought them for Christmas decorations and now will use them anytime I entertain in my backyard. The only downside is it takes a lot of work to open each strand to create a ball. The upside is that they store easily when folded. I decided to keep mine in the ball shape and store them hanging. I got lots of compliments and my friend is buying them for her son's rehearsal dinner, they are that pretty.

There have been mixed reviews...Let me try to help. There are four separate lights in this package. These are battery operated devices, so yes, they *each* do need batteries to work. There should be no surprise there. Each light requires 4 AA batteries. Many reviews said that product didn't work out of the box. I had the same problem at first. The solution, look again at the battery installations. There is a little 'slop' in the battery case, so the batteries can move around a little and not touch the contacts. Wiggle the batteries to make sure the top end is touching the contact (the end away from the spring). Also, make sure to snap in the battery pack to the light securely. There are four remotes. I'm not sure why, each remote works with each light, so I only used one. I verified they all work with each light. Save the other three as backups. Timer feature. I've only used it once and it did work. I had to turn on the lights, then push the timer button in front of the light. 6 hrs later, the lights turned off. 18 hrs later, they all turned on again by themselves, no action required by me. All in all, great lights that look awesome and we're getting compliments about how they look.

Great decoration that I bought another set! Bright and the remote control allows you to dim and pick different color combos. Love it!

We needed a bit of holiday cheer while staying in a small apartment between homes. These firework lights have been perfect! The batteries have lasted the whole holiday season! We skipped a Christmas tree, and will enjoy the 5 minute holiday cleanup almost as much as we have enjoyed the nightly light shows.

I am unable to climb ladders to decorate my house with Christmas lights so I bought these to use on my Japanese maple that I have in the middle of my front yard. They were easy to hang as they have a hook. They have a rather large battery box but that was fairly well hidden amongst the branches. The remote was really handy but you can't stand at the front door and shut them all off - you need to be at least five feet away and point it right at the light to get it to turn off. They do use a lot of batteries but the batteries have lasted through the month of Christmas season.

I bought two sets of these starburst lights to hang from the ceiling of my garden tea house and they have made the space downright magical! Their soft glow is inviting and we are enjoying spending the evenings out there now. Yes, it took 32 AA batteries to fire them up, but it was well worth it. The multiple remotes are nice to have in case the one we're using to light them all up is ever misplaced. I like these so well that I'll be purchasing another set or two to hang from the inside of the umbrella we use over an outdoor dining set so we can linger a little longer out there after the sun goes down. I highly recommend these!

Easy to use and they are not hooked together

I have had these on timer function since very early July and they are still going strong. Because they are battery op, during the short days of winter I won't have to worry about getting enough sun. I have lots of solar lights that don't work well here in NE Ohio in winter so I am counting on these to fill in. The many functions means they can all look different.
