The metal on the clasp didn't hold up to field work. Snapped right by the compass. I don't think this is sufficient quality for serious activities.

I love this belt. It's comfortable, doesn't stretch and hold moisture like leather does of you work outside in hot weather. People complain that the buckle is to big to go through the belt loops, this is a good thing. If you have keys, wallet or whatever hanging from your belt you don't worry about this stuff sliding off and falling into something that you don't want to put your hands in. Like the the portable john at a work site. 😱

Not sure how this differs from the more expensive ones but the Fairwin belt works great! Very thick nylon strap and the buckle works great! You can run it around like a normal belt through the loops (though it's a tight fit through everyday clothes). I generally leave these on the pants and take off only to wash. I may buy a second one to put on my snowboarding pants where the easy unlatch of the buckle would work great!

Functional, durable product.I am very pleased with the style of buckle.Belt was a little stiff when first used, but broke in nicely in the first day of use.I have only used the belt with a light load out so far, and with no complaints. I am confident it can withstand significantly more weight once I need to use it.For anyone curious about the keychain accessory, the carabiner is of better quality than most keychains, and the strap is a hook and loop style.

Honestly, this is one of the best belts I’ve ever owned. I needed a good, durable belt for work because my leather one was worn up from carrying boxes. This one was very long. I’m only 5’3” and weigh 130, so I’m pretty skinny. I just cut the belt where I wanted it and used a lighter on the end.

These are nice belts. I like a belt that doesn't loosen up as I wear it and these do the trick. they don't look bad. The only issue is they are a little hard to put through the loops of jeans. I have Kirkland jeans, and you have to angle them and work them through. Not too much trouble, but you can't just pull them off your pants and feed them on a clean pair quickly. You have to work with each loop to pass the buckle side through.
