Reasonably priced bat that meets the new USA Bat standard. It has a 2 5/8 inch barrel and -8 drop (30 inch, 22 ounce). My son has used it a few times so far and we're very happy with it.

Great price for an USABat! My son has hit with it in the cage and it's pretty hot! Packaging material is a bit excessive though, arrived in a HUGE box.

When the new standard came out, I was mad that I'd have to Rebuy bats instead of using our oldests handme downs. The new standard helps level the field for the kids which is good. That said, this bat is great for the money. First at bat was a triple and he loves it. Also looked at S650 Easton, but glad We got this one as I believe it is better bat, especially for the money.

At the beginning of the season, everyone hated how dead the new USA Bats were and mis-hits seemed to be really unpleasant. There’s no doubt that a baseball bounces off of last year’s bats much more energetically and that these bats perform more like wood. There’s not much “secret sauce” to be had in the 2018 USA Bats; they all perform about the same as the others. As I write this review, we’re about halfway through the 2018 season and what I’m seeing is a lot of kids ditching their drop-10 and drop-11 bats and buying inexpensive one-piece aluminum bats that are one or two inches shorter but in a drop-8 or drop-5... And it seems to be working for most of them. My son is swinging a 30” drop-8 Machine. His bat weighs 22.8 ounces, which is about par for the course with the 2018 bats... They all seem to run heavy because the manufacturers are apparently quite worried that none of us are going to buy heavy bats. The balance point is at the right edge of the R in the Rawlings logo on the barrel, which makes for a swing that feels substantial and may take a smidge of getting used to for a kid that has only swung super lightweight bats, but it isn’t crazy end-loaded either and a moderately strong kid will be able to swing it fast and hard with a little practice. Bottom-line: Rawlings is delivering A LOT of value at several price tiers in 2018 and I’m happy enough with this bat to buy another one when my son outgrows this one.

Excellent bat and price! Our 10 year old grandson loved it! Even our 19 year old grandson who was a star baseball player on his high school team thought it was a great purchase. Easy to order on line and pick up at our nearest Target. Very happy with it.

Got this for my 8 year old son who is playing coach pitch. I was skeptical to get after reading a couple of reviews. The price is amazing and the reviews that were good made me purchase this bat. My son got this for Easter and let me tell you......HE LOVES IT! I can't believe how good he is hitting with it! Don't underestimate this bat!
