[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This usb-c to Ethernet combination adapter a recharger is perfect for my needs. My Apple air doesn’t have an Ethernet port and relies on WiFi usually. When WiFi is really bad this gives me the flexibility to use a c port to plug it in to Ethernet. It says it can transfer up to 1000 mbps but mine is bogged down to 300 and it works well enough. You can use this to recharge as well - off the same Ethernet plug. Pretty handy.

The one caveat is that the plastic covering of the short wire connecting to the two ends of the adapter, breaks down if gets wiggled repeatedly, leaving just the inside insulation covering the actual wire. This does not affect the performance of it, however. All in all, a solid product.

Ethernet port lights up internally when active. Small package, nice when you need the higher speeds and don’t have a port. Overall, recommend picking one up if you’re in the need for it.
