Bad smell

The set looks good, nice addition to my backyard. What I don’t like about this set is the SMELL!!! I don’t know where it was stored before, but it has strong mold smell, I can’t even enjoy sitting on the chair.

Nice Furniture, Nightmare to Assemble

I ordered this furniture set for our screened in porch. The furniture itself is nice and as advertised. There could be some additional cushioning on the chairs, but other than that, no complaints about the quality, especially for the price. The reason for my low rating is the assembly process. I'm a very handy guy, yet it took me several hours just to assemble 3 pieces of furniture. The assembly requires the insertion of many screws into pre-drilled screw holes using an allen wrench. The main problem is that many of the pre-drilled screw holes do not readily accept the screws provided, therefore you end up stripping screws and in the case of 2 screws, I actually had to use my own screws and bolts because I could not get the provided screws into the pre-drilled holes. You would think that you should be able to hand tighten all the screws to some point, before having to use the allen wrench to tighten them up all the way. That is definitely not the case with this furniture set. I would have preferred that the set come with screws and nuts, even though I realize that solution sounds more cumbersome, it would have been much easier than using the hardware provided. I recommend wearing gloves for this process as your fingers will get very sore using the allen wrench they provide. Overall, nice furniture, but beware that the assembly process is not easy and not straightforward. I would love to see the seller put one of these furniture sets together so they would realize the issues with the manufacturing process.

Assembly was horrible

Assembly would have been impossible without a tap and die set. Almost none of the holes were properly treaded to screw the screws into. Took 6 hrs to assemble, including re-threading almost every hole.

You get what you pay for

For the price, I decided to give this set a try. I was worried about assembly after reading reviews. I put together the first chair relatively easily. However the chairs were comically small. I am 5’1” and thought this would not be an issue for me. I fit in them fine and could even sit with both legs folded up. But it felt cheap and it felt like I was in a child’s chair at a doctors office. Not only this but I bought this set for my decent sized balcony which I use regularly and the proportions looked laughable. I could see this set working in a small balcony or front porch. I could not see regular use of this set and it holding up. I turned around and disassembled the chair and the whole thing is going right back.

Buyer Beware

This looks really nice but definitely cheaply made. I have put IKEA furniture together quicker than this set. Terrible workmanship. Most of the holes aren’t large enough for the screws and the holes didn’t line up even only tightened half way. It took 6 hours to put this together. The feet bottoms were horrible to put on. I would never buy from this brand again. If you are looking for the instructions they are stuffed in the piece labeled “A”. You get what you pay for!

Save Yourself The Headache

What an absolute pain to put together!! Took me HOURS. Several of the threads did not line up with the screw holes, and it was an absolute struggle to get these put together. It's like the holes were drilled by a blind first grader. Lost my temper more than once and used several unsavory words in the process. My hands are actually sore from using the junky little allen wrench. Additionally, the entire box had a terrible MUSTY STINK, like it sat in a damp warehouse somewhere. Made my entire house smell bad while I was putting it together. The cushions are very thin, and the back cushions are really short, not at all like they appear in the picture online. I will probably invest in some better cushions, which negates the purpose of getting this on sale and saving a few bucks. When all is said and done, it's a fairly decent little set, I like the recessed glass on the table, but that doesn't outweigh the crummy assembly issues. The chairs are small, but that's what works for my small space. Given the headache it was to put together, along with the stench, I would've returned it had I not invested so much time getting that first chair put together, so I opted to keep it. Spend the money to get something of better quality and save yourself the trouble.

Hard to assemble

This set probably looks very nice put together, but unfortunately you apparently need power tools to do so. The metal holes are not big enough for the screws so it is impossible for me to put together until I buy a tool to fix that.
