Love these glasses. Thin rim is perfect for wine drinking

4 stars b/c as others mention, it is wide in circumfrence so a little tough just grabbing up and down from my perch on the couch. Otherwise, it is a speciality wine glass. For pinots. It is not a glass for throwing ice cubes in. Those are called highballs or many other forms of glasses, of which you can find many choices. If you break a glass because you dropped a bunch of ice cubes in a delicate glass shaped to help a specific type of wine open up, that's definitely on you, other reviewers!! Don't use this to drink water or white russians or milkshakes. Use it for red wines. Treat the glasses nicely!

I liked that it is the appropriate shape for a Pinot Noir. it’s also high quality. But I disliked that it was so large it is uncomfortable for a woman’s hand.. My husband is ok with the size.

With a stem one could grab just above stem, like a brandy snifter. This is really LARGE in circumference.
