This is a beautiful knife set. Essentially the only two knives a beginner cook would need. I could do everything using these two. They're extremely sharp and very effective. Even soft tomatoes can be easily cut into thin cheese-like slices. Excellent knives.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These knives are designed with sharp, tapered blades made from high-carbon, 100% German stainless steel, it does ensure precision and strength with every slice but I did notice it often would get stuck and it could have been a smoother slice especially with the apple. Also the big knife can be heavy after holding it for a while. The beautiful ebonized Acacia wood handles are easy on the eye and even though my hands were wet it did not slip and I was able to hold the knife with no problem. The apple trick was a bust but it did go through those strawberries like butter ». Don't be fooled, these knifes are ! SHARP! I did try the knives with potatoes, onions, and celery. The 8 inch chef knife is absolutely amazing! I can chop easy and slice. I chop onions and stir fry veggies with it. The walnut handles are really comfortable when I grip it. This is 100% German stainless steel. So durable and stylish. The design has a triple rivet delta triangle. These handcrafted knives have great balance and stability when I’m cutting and chopping. Easy clean up and versatile.
