Actually I am a woman, and love the hat. I wear it when I am walking. I live by a lake at a high altitude and the sun is bright, that is why I love this hat. It keeps the sun out.

WEll constructed and block the sun well. You can feel the air going through the top vents and keeping you head cool. My favorite summer hat of all.

I bought this item for my husband and though it took forever to deliver, he was pleased with the product. So pleased infact, he asked me to order him another. Shipping is expensive and timely delivery is awful but the product is good.

This hat is super and even in the high solar load where I live in the Southwest prevents sun blasts and allows great evaporative cooling. It is lightweight also. I'll see how good its wear-ability is in a year.
