How To Play Go Fish:
Shuffle all the cards in the deck. Once the cards are shuffled, the dealer should deal 5 cards to each player keeping the cards facedown. If there are only two players, then deal 7 cards to each player. Place the rest of the deck in the center of the table and turn over the top card. This will be the discard pile.
All players may look at their cards. The first player should place any matches (2 cards) on the table face up in front of him or her. Then, the player should ask the player to the left if he or she has any fishes or whales, or any other card that is needed to make a match.
If the player being asked has any fish, he or she gives them to player one and the player continues only if a complete set is made. If the questioned player does not have any, he or she tells player one to “go fish,” and the player then draws a card from the facedown discard pile. If player one is unable to make a match, the game continues with the next player.
The game ends when one player is out of cards. The player with the most matches is the winner.
Includes 48 playing cards and 2 instruction cards (including instructions for a Memory Game).
