I've been using these for the last two Fall seasons and had not written a review. They are wonderful! I live in an area prone to deer ticks and these have greatly reduced my contact as your hands don't touch the leaves. Can also rake/scoop with them when leaves are slightly wet (gets more leaves in bag and no more wet gloves) and best of all you can scoop up HUGE piles of leaves. Have never had any problems with them; they are very sturdy as I use them to scrape up the leaves as well.

I bought as Christmas gifts,so I won’t know how good they are until next fall.

When the first gen arrived last year I had my reservations. After using them, I am now a believer. After raking or blowing leaves into a row or pile, these little guys are several times more efficient than shovels or rakes at picking up and bagging leaves. This is especially true if your jurisdiction requires the use of tall paper bags that are recyclable. This is even more effective when leaves are dry since you trap the leaves between the claws and hold them till they reach the receptacle. Nothing blows away before it reaches it intended resting place.

These work great out of the box. They are large but light weight. They hold lots of leaves without dropping. This means less times bending over and a shorter time getting the job done.

We have a lovely neighborhood filled with very old deciduous trees. Managing Fall Leaf drop is now a breeze.
