These shavers are wonderful. No more messy cans in the shower, no more taking shavers and cramming your shaving cream into a 3 oz container on trips. Just toss this simple item in your suitcase and you're ready to go. The "shaving cream" solid lubricant - for lack of a better word - glides on smoothly and the blades last and shave well until the solid lubricant is gone. Lasts longer than a can of cream, too, and there's less waste because all you're tossing is the razor and a bit of plastic surrounding it once the lubricant is gone. I will keep buying these as long as they make them!

i bought refills instead of the actual thing

I received a sample in an order from Amazon. I cannot rave enough about these shavers. I used to dred shaving because of knicking myself. I no longer worry about it. The best thing no shaving cream or soap needed.

This is the most gentle of razors. I've never been nicked. Just remember to go up and back down to remove hair. Also shake out the chamber when done to remove water. Keep it dry as possible.

I am a very long time user of Schick Intuition. I rarely stray and try something else, and when I do, I come running back. I find that really any variety is good, and these are no exception. I never get nicks or cuts. I find each cartridge lasts for many shaves, probably many more than most people use them for. Even after the shave bar/soap product wears down, I have good luck with them, I just use some cream or soap on my skin then. I can tell when I need to change to a new one when I start to feel a bit of razor burn or drag or irritation. But I really do get a lot of use out of each cartridge. It's a really convenient product. I like everything about it.
