Mostly love/love/love SO ... live with a few "issues"

Bought during Christmas 2015 promotion at Costco for $39. Mostly love but few things to know: Per Samsung Support, there are *NO* replacement ear gels or worse ... stabilizing wings. Be careful not to rip or lose or device is toast! Also, FULL text and email SUBJECT LINE readout is FABULOSITY (great for driving in car or hands in dishwater).. when it works ... And with NO adjustments in settings, sometimes it DOES and magically, sometimes it DOESN'T. It'll read either all or just the first few that come in one after the other in few minutes and then ignore the rest. It also pauses so that even if you read texts while you're talking on PHONE, when u hang up, it'll read texts you've already read. Not heavy, not obstruction. So light, I actually forgot I had them on and got *IN* the shower. Worked like a charm after so I presume workout sweat NOT a problem. Stabilizing wings are the key * PERFECT* for my ears. The others are useless. Won't even stay in when WALKING, let alone jogging Sound quality is really GREAT for the purpose for which I use them. I 100% telecommute for huge healthcare insurer so I bought PERSONALLY to wear all day. What they provided is huge, corded, plugs into laptop so I use my PERSONAL Galaxy Note 5 with Level U to take calls. MUSIC is OK, u tube videos is ok

So far, so good

I received two free pairs of these, in gold, from the samsung pay registration promotion. There's no cord to get in the way, which was my primary goal in choosing this set. The Bluetooth connects effortlessly to my Note5. I only have one complaint, which really is personal preference: I wish these earbuds were not ergonomically designed. They are just awkward in my ears. I prefer the traditional earbud. This design doesn't give the greatest sound quality, because there really is no seal in my ears.

It does the job fairly well

This headset is pretty good. I like that I can barely feel it in my neck to the point wear I further I have it on, and I'm working and not suppose to have it on. I bought the gold for and looks this color b/c it's like a brush gold, so kinda blends with my skin. I've only been using it for about a week and I love the sound quality and the fact you get so many ear gel options. I only have 2 complaints one minor and one lil major for me. My first complaint it the ear gels with the hook on them you only get one size which I believe is same size as smallest reg one, but I actually need one size smaller. (Sometimes I wonder how big ppl inner ear is with the sizes they provide They need to do away with the biggest ear gel one and provide one smaller the the smallest one. Even tho the are gels they still fall out my war more than I would like. My other complaint thus far is the range. You can't be too far from your device or the quality will go really bad.. I mean I can even be 10ft away and it starts breaking up. So hopefully the can improve on the range and the ear gels and then it will be 5* worthy.

Love these ear phones

I use these ear phones constantly to listen to podcasts and to listen to audible books and my foreign language courses. I love how they stay put when I exercise and work around the house and unlike the plug-in apple earphones, they are not constantly catching on drawer knobs and door handles as I move around. They seem to have a good long listening time before the battery runs out --- I usually plug them in before I leave for work and then use them when I get home in the evenings and before I leave for work in the morning. I have used them to make phone calls without any problem. I did answer a few calls and have had a bit of a problem being heard but I'm not sure if that's because the calls were unexpected and I was clumsy and not quick enough to work the controls. I have listened to music but it's not something I really do a lot. The 3 little control buttons are easily felt (unlike a stupid jawbone that I had years ago) and I can easily stop my language course or play it back or jump forward. If I hold the stop button down for longer Siri comes on and asks me what I want.

Works well but could have some improvements

-Works well, long battery life. Have had it last more than 12 hours several times. -Only gives you audible beeps for battery status unless you have a Samsung S phone with the Level U app. The Level U app shows the battery status via a filled battery image, but without this you can only wait for the beeps to know if it time to charge. -The headphone magnets to keep it around your neck when not listening to it are not very strong so they don't stay stuck against each other with moderate movement. -The flexible pieces that go around your neck are attached via hard plastic to the battery part and they will break but the flexible material surrounding it does not allow it to break off. This allows it to not sit around your neck as tight so it may move more than you like. -Phone connection is good and have had not complaints from people on the other end of the line. -Performance distance has shown to be in the 15ft range before break up sounds start to occur. Mine has show some signs of interference around lots of metal such as a laundry room. -Can connect to two different devices but only the first phone that connects to it can have the phone controls from the headset(i.e. phone call). -The ear phones are more of the new "iphone" directional style so they don't go directly into the ear canal, but they do provide good sound.

mostly Iwatch movies and netflix

I have owned a few different sets of around-the-neck bluetooth headsets. I had 2 different models of LG Tone. There are advantages and disadvantages to both. The quality is hard for me to rate, I think the cheapest of the LG sets was the loudest. I dont listen to a ton of music, mostly I watch movies and netflix, and answer calls, and they have all worked well for that. I think that being half the price of the LG sets gives the Samsung unit a huge advantage. I think the LG set stayed around the neck better because they put the weight (components and battery) in the arms of the neckband, the lowest point, where as the Samsung puts the weight behind the neck. The problem with this is that the weight wants to fall and I find myself having to frequently adjust the band if I am doing any sort of movement, even just walking around. For the record, the issue with the weight in the arms is they tend to bounce if you are doing repetitive actions like running. so I wouldnt recommend either set if you are looking to exercise wearing a headset. If you do a lot of sitting or driving, they are fine. Typically I use the set with my cell, no issues. I have it paired with my laptop as well. It can get confused when switching back and forth, but i've never looked up to see if there is a recommended procedure for that. Overall it's not a bad headset, depending on what you are using it for, but it does have some quirks.

One of the better neckphones: Samsung "Level" : A Critical Review

Your browser does not support HTML5 video. I love neckphones. They are indispensable and if you're looking for a credible replacement for a single ear piece headphone, this is it. You can use this kind of headphone at work or out in the field because the headphone will vibrate and it's easy to just place the earpieces in and answer a call and when you're done removing and it'll stay in place until the next call. I've reviewed multiple neckphones and none of them are at the level of LG's "Tone" series. Apart from the higher fidelity sound reproduction, which is desperately lacking on the cheaper models, LG has cornered the market. The sound on the Samsung "Level" is very good and comparable to the LG. That is to say, it is far above the LG knockoff's. I also like that the earpieces have a magnetic connection so it doesn't dangle along the side. Pairing was very easy to my Galaxy Note 4. The only thing that I do have a problem with is that earpiece. It is not as comfortable to wear as the LG or some of the generic brands. The headpiece is a hard plastic and it doesn't conform to the ear canal, it forces the ear canal to adapt to its shape and this is the marquis difference between the Samsung and the LG.

Good but not perfect, not for workouts.

I bought these to listen to music at work. The battery lasts all day, they are great for taking calls when my hands are too busy to hold a phone and the sound quality leaves me with no complaints. Mine lasted over a year (I don't remember exactly when I bought mine). I think the biggest plus in my mind was you can by a packet of replacement rubber pads. Every once in a while one would fall off while I was maneuvering in tight places (my job is quite physical) and the environment would pull off a rubber pad, usually I could find it and put it back on but eventually one gets lost and it's nice to have replacements. The good: They sound good, the battery life is adequate for a standard work day, the rigid neckband allows them to stay in place with only one ear in instead of slowly falling down the other side like the non rigid ones. They basically do what you'd expect pretty well but there are some cons: They don't stay on your neck very well. I had to make a point of wearing collared shirts to work to help hold them in place, they liked to slide off backwards if I didn't. They are not sweat proof. It was sweat from my neck at work that finally did mine in. I don't recommend them for workouts. They seemed to cancel out some background noise decently if it was uniform and near white noise, however any sudden or sharp sounds would be amplified. For instance if i answered a call while emptying the dishwasher the noise would be unbearable for the other person, but road noise in the car was fine (one ear in only). Also, going outside in downtown seattle would cause interference with the bluetooth connection if the phone was in my pocket. I have no idea if this is an issue with bluetooth in busy metropolitan areas in general or this device specifically.

Works great but with major iPhone quirks and disappearing rubber ear pieces

Pros: Sound is medium-good, but good enough, battery is good, mic is very clear, always on the neck so harder to lose cons. Rubber pieces pop off of the ear buds and disappear. I've been though 4 in a few weeks. Biggest Con is that they disconnect from IpHone randomly when walking around NYC streets They are fine on long bike rides in the burbs, in my office in NYC, in the car, but walking in the streets of NYC, fuhgettaboutit, they disconnect from the iPhone 100% of the time.
