The tank is necessary if you go through a lot of ice quickly. One suggestion: do something to better protect the silicone tubing on the back of the ice maker and the connection to the tank. GE customers have cats. Keeping cats away from something as tempting as a chewy silicone tube is not an easy task. I’ll have to come up with a chew-proof solution myself this time.
