Asus made several variants of this machine, so ignore online reviews. You're getting an N3350 Celeron, 4GB RAM, a 64GB drive, and an excellent, non-touch 1920×1080 screen. It has a good mix of USB ports, but no HDMI for some reason. Maybe budget for a USB hub? If, like me, you looked at AUE before buying, you may miss the asterisk next to 2027. Out-of-the-box, it no longer receives updates. You specifically need to opt in, and that will just get you security patches. Otherwise, you're on your own. I went to mrchromebox.tech after pondering a bit. If you go this route, you need to open the case and disconnect the battery (check YouTube) to disable write-protect. This should be straightforward except Asus used two different length screws (way to go, Asus!) and hid one under a rubber pad. Basically, record where each came from so you can put it back in the same place. Kubuntu 24 LTS runs well but the speakers don't work and the available script can't fix that. USB headphones do work.
