It was missing the tank among other things. Certainly not “new in an open box”.

Horrible! Missing a key part and will not work without the missing part. Purchased a Bissell ProHeat 2X carpet cleaner. Very excited when it arrived but it was missing the "clean water tank" and the shampoos too. It will not work without the tank. Now I have to deal with the return. They knew or should have known this was missing the tank but the description said new in open box. What a rip off.

We have limited carpet at our house so we put our new ProHeat 2X to the test by using it on the carpet at our son's rental house. They moved in 9 months ago and have only done spot cleaning despite having 3 cats and visiting small children. We have no knowledge of any cleaning before they moved in. The ProHeat 2X performed very well in the quick clean mode - the carpet drying in less than 30 minutes while removing a lot of dirt and cat hair. When in the deep clean mode, even more dirt, hair and even dried play doh came up easily. The carpet dried in about 2 hours. One issue noted was the machine left large hair balls on the rug. It was easy to scoop these up by hand but was not pleasant. This may have been result of a very dirty carpet so we will see if problem persists with future cleanings. The unit was easy to put together and the instructions for use were clear and easy to understand. It is a bit cumbersome to remove the brushes for cleaning, The brushes were cleaned to see if that helped the hairball problem and to remove strings of long hair and threads from unknown source. The ProHeat 2X can also be used to clean upholstery (our main focus) but we have not tried this yet. Further feedback will be left on the performance in this mode as our 3 dogs and two cats coat furniture with fur that the vacuum does not fully remove, not to mention dirt we all track around. It may take a few weeks though as we have plans for the next few weeks.Lee Z

I use to have older carpet shampoo. Since I use the Bissell Pro heat carpet cleaner,iit is easy to use,faster in cleaning and carpet look so much better.

The BISSELL ProHeat 2X Revolution Pet is an excellent cleaning machine. I am 70 years old and find it lightweight and easy to maneuver. With 13 grandchildren and a dog it does a great job! I highly recommend this machine to everyone and give it 5 stars!!

We have two cats and two dogs, tile in most of our house, but carpet in the bedrooms, plus two area rugs in the living room. I used it on our master bedroom carpet and the two area rugs. I also did a second rinse cycle, since I don't like to leave the soap in the carpet. It cleaned the carpets and rugs really well, and got up a lot of pet fur. I vacuum regularly, but there was still a lot of fur in the carpet. I like that it left the fur in balls on the floor, as I didn't want it getting in the machine and clogging it. Although, the waste water was still dirty during the rinse cycle, my carpet looked just as clean as when I have it professionally done. However, it had been five years since my last cleaning, and I think I should have had a professional cleaning, then used the Bissell for refreshing. I'm amazed that the machine worked as well as it did, considering the carpet and rugs were really dirty!
