[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this for free. When I went to try it, it heated up to the max temperature within less than a minute. I have thick hair, like really thick hair, and it seemed to struggle a bit, but after a few swipes, it worked. The outside doesn't heat up like past straightens I've used in the past. Because my hair is so thick, I have to hold it down at the front and the back when I use it, or it won't work. It might work better if your hair isn't as thick. I had my husband try it as well, and he seemed to like it as well. Overall, this is a good straightener, and worth having in your collection.

I straightened a few pieces of my hair with the different temperature settings and it worked good for my hair. The only thing that I'd prefer would be for it to have like a piece where it would hold the iron safely without moving when putting it down, like a little bracket or something that most other flat irons have. That's something you have to watch for, for the cable to not accidentally move and the whole iron moves.
