These thermal pants' material is very thin - but thermal underwear is meant to be warn under other clothing so this was not a surprise. If you are a tall X-large these run a bit short. My husband is 6'5 and these came up a bit short. But if you're average height they are fine. Really liked the dark, understated colors.

These are good quality Long John’s. I accidently ordered 2x instead of medium so I couldn’t tell how they fit haha, but just looking at them I can tell they are just as good of quality as my fruit of the looms that I usually wear in the winter

I selected SMALL for my husband who has lost a tremendous amount of weight due to aging and illness. The long john pants are thinner weight material. Not sure they would survive many washes, but you get three pair in the order.They have the zipper fly opening. And, the length is okay, since his inseam is usually a 30". The waistband seems large, but then he is very thin.These are okay as sleep pajamas, or underneath regular pants. Not exceptionally warm, but good enough for the colder season.

I’m a man for all seasons. I love the outdoors and spend as much time as I can outdoors. I love to hunt, fish and camp, and I mean camp, not glamp, even in the coldest climates. Like most men who thrive in the colder climates, I learned long ago that the trick to staying warm and comfortable starts with a good base layer. With that said, I have my doubts about these thermal long John pants qualifying as a good base layer. They’re thin, very thin, way thinner than any of my other thermal long John pants. Perhaps in climates where the night temperatures don’t fall below the thirties, these might suffice. They also seem to run on the larger size for any size. I wear a large, but these fit me like they were and extra-large, or maybe even an extra-extra-large size. I like a tighter base layer so the fabric can whisk away moisture before it builds up on my body and these are too loose to do that.Personally, I think I’ll be wearing these under my pajama bottoms at home, not up in the mountains where the night temperatures can fall to the single digits.

He likes the cotton feel of the fairly thin waffle fabric {60% Cotton/ 40% Polyester}, but the overall fit is not flattering. Chose XXL according to sizing and not knowing what kind of shrinkage to expect w cotton/poly. The elastic waist he would have preferred being low ride, that comes well over his medicinally induced bloated stomach, [swollen everywhere], and the groin and buttocks area are too big and hung way too low. This is somebody who used to always wear an XL comfortably, and has gained from medication this past year that his current clothing is uncomfortably tight or doesn't fit at all. But the leg area fit comfortably, with plenty of room to shrink overall. Definitely could have gone down a size, maybe even 2. They're comfortable he says, since he's been baring through his tight clothes all summer, probably grateful to breath while sitting. I would have liked them to have been a little heavier weight but maybe the Polyester is what makes them considered as thermal. Recommend sizing one down or two.
