Feels heavy when held in your hands but very comfortable around your neck. I have medium length hair and it does not get caught in the vents. Very good air flow. You can hear the fan but it’s not loud or obstructive. More like white noise. On the lowest speed, which was adequate for me, the battery lasted all afternoon. I’ve never let the batteries die so I don’t know if they would have lasted for 8 hours. I can just say the batteries lasted long enough for my needs. My husband also used it while cutting the lawn on a very hot and very humid day. He said it worked well and actually kept him comfortable. My stepmother liked it so much she bought one for her sister for her 80th birthday this week. Comes with a charging cord. I literally melt in heat and humidity. This fan has really helped a lot. Hands free. Quiet. So far, I absolutely love it.

I’m sold on this particular neck fan…highly rated, had the best air flow ( complete circle, not just on sides) and about 2 hours in a full charge, sometimes wish it was a little longer, but I’m usually on high speed fan!….recharges fairly quickly UPDATE: accidentally jumped into the pool with the fan around my neck…put it blade side down on a towel till I get home and stuck it in a bag of rice for a couple hours….was so mad at myself!!!! To my relief, it did dry out just fine and eventually the few grains that got stuck inside went away…still in perfect condition…maybe I’m lucky but the product quality spoke for itself.

My husband works outside in weather that is often in the 90's or higher. This product makes all the difference for him. When it's especially hot out, he sometimes wets a cooling towel and puts under the neck fan. It creates his own personal a/c. He seldom has to use it on high speed. Usually, the fan quietly gets the job done on low or medium speed (without the cooling towel). Not only would we recommend this product, my husband has already bragged on it so much that several others have purchased them!

OMG! So glad I came across this in my search to replace a neck fan that was a completely different style that only lasted a year. This neck fan cools your neck from side all around to the other side. I'm hormonal and get hot easily, especially when caring for my elderly clients in their warm homes. I've never had anything work so well and keep me comfortable like this does It doesn't slide around and shift. It's not too heavy feeling, and best of all...it's relatively quiet. Much, MUCH quieter than what I used to use. It seems of good mechanical quality. I HIGHLY recommend this unit. I absolutely LOVE it!!

I have surgically induced menopause and hot flashes are an unfortunate part of daily life now. If you know, you know! This has been very helpful for me. I may look silly at the grocery store, but I’m not melting at least. I only use on low speed when out and about but I use it on level 2 and rarely level three when we’re taking our family walk in this crazy heat we’ve been having. I personally find it a little too hard to hear my family talking to me when it’s on the highest speed so I usually keep it at 1 or 2 but it still works just fine for me.

I love evrything about it!!! I bought my daughter and son-in-law one. They both work in a wearhouse together with no A/C They told me this keeps them cool for the entire 9 hours they work. I bought mine and received it 5/26/2022. I am goin to an outside event, and I don't handle heat well. I love it also, because you can charge it. No batteries needed. Almost no noise...battery life..excellent and yes..light weight. I would recommend this to anyone that can't take the heat.

Just received yesterday and for small fan motor it put out an acceptable amount of air. Not like advertising where you see the person wearing it blowing up her hair. It doesn’t have that much power. Adequate to slightly give you some cooling effects. Like a review I read from a construction worker in Arizona. You will not find this helpful at all. But if your outside on a muggy hot day doing yard work or biking or walking. It will make you a little more comfortable. But not much. I bought this for my uncle who is a paraplegic in wheel chair and has lost his ability to control cooling down from heat loosing his sweat cooling mechanism. So when he is outside for long periods of time he gets very hot and body doesn’t cool him down. He finds this does offer some comfort. I can’t comment on battery life yet since used it one day. But got a good few hours of continuous run time without turning off. It’s not meant to leave on continuous for hours. It’s just to cool you off a bit while your outside in the heat. The weight is not bad no more than those big over the ear headphones. It’s tolerable since it rest on your neck and shoulders. For the price I thought it was worth the try.

I purchased this item for when I work in the yard and my wife thought it was a gimmicky gadget. In mid-September our air conditioner blower fan failed and it took 3 days to repair. The house was 90 degrees and about 80% humidity. Luckily, we were able to live and sleep in the basement where it was a constant 68 degrees. I let her try these and I never got to wear them again during those 3 days! My wife has long hair and the fans didn't suck her hair into the unit like some people stated it would. Very pleased.

UPDATE: 9-3-2021 - this seller is pretty awesome. I contacted them about my issue below and they sent me a FREE replacement that I just received. I’m very impressed with the customer service as well as this Dan-I love this fan so much and now I can continue to use it. So I got this as a Christmas gift 2020 been using once a week for 8 months and now the right side fan is making this crazy noise. If I thump it with my fingers it stops for a minute then starts right back up again. So very sad because I love this fan. Sorry to see I can’t order it again on Amazon.

I saw a couple of Youtube reviews and thought I'd give this a try. Works much better than I was expecting. It is a great alternative to a traditional fan. My only knock though it isn't unexpected, is the sound of the fan at the 2nd and 3rd level settings. The noise is unavoidable considering the proximity to your ears but it is still loud at the higher levels. Fortunately, the first setting does a good job of cooling. One big plus is that the charger is a USB C cable. Also, on a whim, I plugged the fan in to see if it charges while in use. It does work while charging. I've only used this indoors but I would expect this device to work outdoors as well.
