These are close to being tight so I recommend you make sure you know your measurements and compare them with the size chart. Knowing your pants size and using the US Size conversion listed on the chart may suffice, but you may want to go up a size to be safe. In terms of length, they stop above where the thigh meets the knee, but that could be due to my height (well over 6ft). The fabric is relatively thin, vaguely causing an "outline" if you know what I mean. I think they would be great for house / workout shorts, but they aren't something I'd wear to go grocery shopping. Most of the critical reviews also seem to share this view. Also, there wasn't a whole lot of elasticity, maybe barely enough to go one size up? But at that point you're increasing the thinness/tightness. The main negative aspects are how they seem cheaply made, considering the thinness, the exposed elastic band and lack of expansion, and how there is already loose stitching. I only showed one picture of the stitching since I didn't want to nitpick on it, but each pair (total of 3) has at least several spots where the stitching is loose. Overall, they weren't horrible hence the 3 stars and not 1, but I can definitively say that these aren't shorts I'll be keeping.
