This bin replaced the identical one which was over 15 years old and still looked good and was usable. I just fancied a new one. Does everything it says on the description and I recommend Simplehuman and would not buy another brand.
This is a great garbage can. It opens and closes gently and is attractive. We use it in our office break room so it is opened and closed many times. No problems so far.
I love everything about my trash can. Pricey, but worth it.
I had the last can for seven years and the plastic butterfly lid latch broke. The new can has an all stainless steel lid and latch; a big improvement. The new can cost more but well worth it. I am older. I don't expect to ever purchase a replacement. The can will out live my 401K.
No sugar coat here either, we really do love our new trash can and the sample liner pack they included in the purchased convinced us to buy a supply. They are the best we've ever used and resonbly priced. You won't be disappointed!
The stainless finish is gorgeous and the new 'soft close' is wonderful! It's the little details that separate the good from the great. The can is sturdy, beautiful and functional. A wonderful addition to our newly refurbished kitchen.
