After buying the flat ones and having them only last a year I decided to see if I could find a higher quality version for my driveway, walkway and patio. Well these are exactly what I was looking for. The difference was noticeable the second I took them out of the box. Installation was super easy, although I was mounting them on anything I could put a screw in, the heavy duty double sided gorilla tape for outside use worked perfectly and literally took seconds to install. They are so great that I've had a number of neighbors call and ask where I got them. So far they've been perfect. They are uniformed brightness across all of them. I don't give many things 5 stars, as I feel everything could have some form of improvement, but I really don't know how these could be any better.

I bought 7 packs of 4 of these lights to put on our dock about a year ago. 25 are currently installed, 2 failed and I still have one as a spare. We are in a coastal environment and we're having strong winds and our dock has been overwashed most of today--I just checked and all 25 lights are on. Two out of 28 may seem like a high failure rate but these things cost less than $10 each. Full disclosure, I did remove the aluminum case and sealed the seam between the plastic parts with silicon--this probably voids the warranty but it does seem to improve the waterproof capability and the silicon should be relatively easy to remove when the batteries need replacing--I'm hoping the will last two or three years. The lights are bright enough that when installed every 10 feet they will keep you from stepping off the edge of the dock. Although they are not bright enough to read by, I wouldn't want them any brighter. All in all I'm pleased with the lights so far.

I purchased eight (two four packs) of these for my dock. Worked great. Nice bright light throughout the entire night no matter how cloudy the day. Then the windstorm came. It blew so hard it flipped the entire 70 foot dock upside down! I do not screw the lights on to the dock. So they ended up on the lake bottom. It took about a week before we were able to reinstall the dock and find some of the lights. We initially found five of them, and after removing them from the drink and sitting them in the sun, they all lit up and continue to do so three months later. I then found light number six about three weeks later. After a month in water it worked and continues to do so! But wait! There's more! I just found light number seven. It's been in the water for three months, and yes, it is now back on the dock and working fine! I don't know if I'll ever find the last light. We're going back South for the winter now, but if I do find it, it will have been frozen in ice. If it works I will certainly report it. Needless to say I'm a big fan of these lights.

Easy to install as long as you have the right tools to preset the wholes in the concrete for the plastic inserts. Once you place the inserts all you have to do is screw the lights down. If you are applying the lights to wood all you will need is just regular wood drill bits and the plastic inserts will not be necessary. A full day of sun with no clouds will energize the lights for the entire night! LED lights are Awesome!!

We have 300' pier with a boathouse at the end. For the last 8 years we have used 28 led pathway lights to mark the edges of the pier, the boathouse, and steps down to the upper and lower crab decks. Having marker lights really helps guests, especially when the moon isn't bright. The website for our old ones says "these solar path lights are built to withstand the elements for a long service life". Hogwash, they would get water in them during the first rain. Even so, the lights would last through the summer, and we considered the safety of our guests important enough that we replaced the old ones about once a year. At $35 for a pack of four it was expensive. So I bought 7 packs of these lights to see how well they would do. The price was about the same, they claim to be IP68 waterproof, and I didn't have anything to loose. I installed them 6 weeks ago. They have held up well very well. During the past 6 weeks our rain gauge has measured over 19" of rain. So far not a single one of the lights shows any sign of internal moisture. We are VERY happy with them. They are bright, look like they will last much longer than the old lights, and I can even replace the batteries. These lights could save us a lot of money. After about 4 weeks, one of the lights got noticeably dimmer and would only light up for a few minutes and then go out. Last week I sent a message to Seidinlar's customer service just before I went to bed. There was a reply in my inbox the next morning. They asked for my address so they could send a replacement, no other questions asked. My replacement arrived in 4 days. Now that's Customer service! We are very happy with these lights and two of our neighbors are ordering lights for their piers.

I've been through a number of varieties of solar powered rechargeable LED lights. This is the first set that actually works. The installation is super easy. The level of light emitted is really perfect. I have these blue ones placed in a few strategic places on our dock to prevent missteps at night after going out for stargazing. The blue light is actually a little bright for this purpose but I'm sure I could put some tape over the LED lenses if I wanted to. I'm hoping for red ones to come out next season which I'll swap into those positions next year. I have two important things that apply to the product regardless of color and to the manufacturer/seller. First, when I first ordered the white variety, one of the lights did not work. I contacted the seller since I already had three of them installed and didn't want to uninstall the other three. Without a question, they sent me a replacement (which worked perfectly). Second, opening the defective unit was easy and I replaced the rechargeable battery which is a standard AA NiMH battery with an AmazonBasics model. Since replacing, the unit has charged and lit reliably (around 5 weeks now I believe). All in all, I am extremely happy with these units in terms of their performance, maintainability, and the support delivered by the manufacturer.

I purchased the Siedlinlar Solar Dock Lights last week. When I got the lights I was impressed with their construction. They were not like the cheap knock-offs that you see in big box stores--these are solid with a low low profile and bright blue lights that looks exactly like what you see in the short video clip on their advertisement. Although I have had them for only a week I am very pleased with this product. Of note, be aware of is that it does not mention on the box or the instructions that the batteries are already installed in the lights when you get them. I did not want to unnecessarily open mine so I emailed Siedinlar's customer service to find out. I got an answer back right away (yes they are installed) and what type of battery I would need should I have to replace it (1.2v Ni-MH AAA rechargeable). I have found that after a full day charge the lights last all night. In short I would buy this product again and am glad I found them. I think you will too---Ray Shedlick

Blue lights do ok for walk way light - not overpowering. I spaced 5 feet apart. Waiting to buy more and put all around my boatdock. Can easily see from 500feet away.

Great ambient soft blue lighting. Just the right amount of ambiance for spa and deck scenario. Would also work great for boat docks. anywhere a lighting guide is needed. They are bright enough if you're looking for more ambient lighting not the bright white lighting .Love the idea that you can replace batteries as needed. This is a plus as they will last longer if you can replace yourself.. They suggest once a year- Amazon has great batteries for this. Other LED eventually die out and you have worthless lights. Spend the money on something you can have for years if cared for properly. Nice round hard shell- weather proof and blue light seems to be in more circular direction which is nice.. Had a slight problem with one light BUT the customer service here is excellent- e-mailed them (address on box) and within 24hrs had a replacement sent out no hassle ....... These folks believe in their product and occasionally one can get a defective light. But to have it handled immediately is another reason to purchase a good set backed by a excellent customer service. Installation is very simple- We preferred to be able to move them where light needed - around hot tub - walk way etc. Bottom line: Excellent customer service 5 star- should there be a problem with order, durable hard shell casing with nice round circular layout of lighting blue in our case. Overall very pleased with these lights and pricing. HIGHLY RECOMMEND- In-fact we'll be ordering another set Blue. They are that nice. and a very reliable customer service. Can't go wrong here - worth the spend! Will update as we have had these awhile. Being able to change battery should assist in making these last a very long time. Update Oct 9-2019 Seriously these folks stand behind this product. Should anything go wrong with them, it is handled immediately. Jackey customer service is great. Customer service at it's best. Have been so impressed purchased another set. You cannot go wrong with these deck or dock lights. Nice blue lighting. Not enough stars for this item especially customer service. You will be able to contact by e-mail with instructions and address on box should you have any warranty issues. Excellent purchase. A no hassle purchase makes all the difference.

These are the lights you want. Quality materials & construction & a nice clean appearance @ a very good price. As far as operation, I own 12 & all are performing flawlessly, have run for over 12 hours with no problem, on @ dusk, off @ daybreak. Several rainy & overcast days & not a drop of water has entered any of them, & even after the days of rain & overcast when I figured they could not have charged & either would not come on or not run all night, " WRONG " each time they performed perfectly. As far as installation, it could not get any easier. Like I said earlier " CLICK ON THE ADD TO CART BOX " !!!!!!!
