This set changed my life. Not only do I do manis right before bed, now I can also touch up whenever my nails grow fast. It’s weird that there are so many reviews with problems. I think some ppl might not be reading the directions. At first I blew off prepping the nails and the gel popped off on the first day. This is so important! Also you definitely need to paint a first thin layer. I also blew this off at the beginning and got some chipping. Google taught me that you need the thin layer for the gel to grip to the nail. This is different than regular polish! Honestly I get compliments on my shiny gel manis all the time. So glad that I have this secret weapon!

This was a fantastic starter kit for gel manicures. I was surprised about how much I loved the mini light. I did my manicure before a week I had two trips. Considering my nails are always subject to brutality when travelling with a carry on, they were relatively unscathed by the time i returned home. I waited another week to review to see how they held up, pic is from 2+ weeks after mani. I’m impressed considering the 3-in-1 formula and lack of salon equipment. I read many other’s reviews to make sure I got the most out of my application, and am echoing other’s when I say prep and application technique is key! 1) Shape nails and wash hands. Any oils will prevent polish from lasting. 2) Rough the surface of your nails for better adhesion. 3) Wipe off any remaining dust and residue with alcohol - I used 70% because that was all i had but make sure the nail is dry before applying or you risk a bacterial infection. 4) Apply a super super thin coat as a base. It will look terrible but it’s key to ensuring the manicure lasts. 5) Cure. I cured for 2 30s cycles to be safe. 6) Apply thin layers until desired opacity. Thick layers will not properly cure and might chip off. I noticed this was the case in two of my nails. And final note, be sure to not get polish on your skin/cuticles because it can possibly irritate the skin, and also causes lifting at the edges of your mani.

I got this kit as a gift for a friend, and she was so happy with it that I had to go back to Target and get one for myself! I love how convenient it is, you can literally do your mani anywhere and the mini lamp is so cute!! Definitely taking this one with me on my next trip. The gel can be tricky at first, but once you get the hang of it, piece of cake! I was doing a rather thick first layer and my mani chipped within minutes, but once you start doing thin layers, the mani lasts a long time. Did my mani almost two weeks ago and it’s still going strong! I think I will buy the 3x shine topcoat next, I can’t wait to see how shiny that is!!!

I bought this kit after seeing a TikTok video and absolutely love it! The color is gorgeous and the mini lamp is the perfect size for my busy life. It fits perfectly in my purse and the easy USB cord allows me to connect to almost anything for a mani on the go! I did have minor difficulty painting my first mani. But after reviewing the “application do’s” on the LMM website I saw major success! I found it was very important after filling my nail to not touch anything. Then, cleaning the nail with some acetone-free or alcohol pad right before I painted my nail made a major difference in the lasting effects! Overall, I would highly recommend the product! It was fun, quick, and super easy to use. I know with some practice too, my manis will be even better!! Can’t wait to get more colors and grow my collection!

In love with this kit! Any time someone compliments my nails, I’m so proud to tell them I did them myself :) It takes practice and patience to get it right and I admit the first couple of times I used it I was on the fence about it. After my first few manicures, I’ve learned that the trick to getting the gel to last long is make sure your nails are completely clean of oils before painting. Once yo! clean your nails (I use non-acetone remover) it is super important that you don’t touch anything! If you have any oils at all on your nail surface, your polish will not last and chip fast. This happened to me. I’ve also found that painting super thin layers works best. I was doing them too thick the first couple of times and my gel would almost be peeling off the next day. I’m still learning as I go but now my manicures are lasting at least 7-9 full days! With more practice I’m sure it will last even longer. I hope this helps someone because these kits really are amazing!
