They are a beautiful set with a slightly speckled finish. Note: quite heavy, and the shape of the bowls take up a lot of space in the dishwasher

Just what I was searching for. I will use them as my every day dishes but the fact that they're black, I believe they can be elevated to a more sophisticated look when needed. Seems to be great quality. Looking forward to entertaining with them.

I love the look. But they aren't very durable

I was recently married. We didn’t register for anything, but we used our some of our gift money to purchase these. Perfect timing, as I gave all my old, non-chipped dishes to my oldest to set up his new apartment. I thought I was going to love these. I love the design. Not quite round, sleek black, matched my new silverware. Suitable in my kitchen scheme. I bought 3 12 pc sets for my larger family gatherings. I also bought the matching dinner bowls. However, the first week one of the salad plates chipped. I thought it was a fluke. It happens. I purchased an open stock replacement, which chipped within 14 days. It has now been merely 4 months, and out the 45 pcs we purchased, 10 are chipped. Many are already showing marks knife and silverware marks. Food also REALLY likes to stick to these. I was most of my dishes by hand, and when I do use the dishwasher, I am mindful that they do not clang against themselves or other dishes in the machine. I’ve had earthenware before, so I’m careful, as they can be heavy. I also have my grandmother’s fine china set, as well as many other vintage dishes I use on a regular basis. I am more careful than most with my kitchenware. As I am past the return policy, and do not have the boxes, I guess I will just suck up the $200+ as a loss. I could have gotten much better quality at a similar price point. I gave a 2 star, because the design is pleasing, but the quality is lacking.

I was obsessed and loved these plates when I first got them. So much that I got 2 dinner sets with matching bowls and smaller plates. I was reheating bacon on this plate in the microwave. When I checked on it ...I realized when I picked up the plate, that it had cracked while being microwaved. Mind you, it advertises microwave and dishwasher safe. Its also advertised earthenware and that it will get hot when microwaved, but I was stumped that it had broken from being microwaved. I hope the others don't break too. 😭
