First choose one of 3 ready-to-play themed building sets. Then take turns laying tiles representing diverse terrain, and filling them with buildings and inhabitants to construct a community. The more a player’s community thrives, the more points they earn. Building cards unlock powers to help players score more points. Interact with other players, and perhaps even interfere with their progress. The highest score wins! Life in Reterra is an awesome games for older kids. It is a tile laying game building communities. It is like post-apocalyptic, trying to live a new greener environmental sustainable life. Like I said, it's great for older kids, or even adults! It's a 2-4 player game! We love board games in this household, so this is awesome to add to our collection! This is a great game for kids 10 and up. It’s perfect for 2 to 4 people and really is different every single time. I love that. It allows individuality and lets people build their own community from scratch with diverse terrain, reclaimed buildings and relics from the past to make a new home and life.this is an educational and positive board game

Fresh theme with some replay value and a quick and scaled learning curve. Nice balance to the strategy elements with some good player interaction without anything feeling unfair. We liked how different ways of approaching play made for pretty close scores. Lots of fun.

At first it seemed like a complicated game. A lot of rules to try and follow but once you get the hang of it, it is a great strategy game that has you thinking 10 different ways. A game that is based on rebuilding from an apocalyptic state you build a 4x4 terrain with different types of buildings. It depends on what style you are playing it can be a battle of grow or ruin. Played back to back games with the wife and kid and we had loads of fun. I still think my daughter cheated being she beat us the first time.
