Tanga Named to Inc. 5000 List of Fastest-Growing Private Companies for Second Consecutive Year

Tanga Ranks No. 1687 on the 2015 Inc. 5000 with Three-Year Sales Growth of 241%

CHANDLER, AZ, August 17, 2015 — Inc. magazine today ranked Tanga.com number 1687 on its 34th annual Inc. 500|5000, an exclusive ranking of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies. Tanga’s three year sales growth of 241% earned them entry to the list that represents has featured companies such as Yelp, Pandora, Timberland, Dell, Domino’s Pizza, LinkedIn, and Zillow in the past.

“Being recognized for the second straight year on the Inc. 5000 list is a huge honor for our small company,” said Jeremy Young, CEO and founder of Tanga. “We believe that shopping is fun when you find something new, exciting and best of all, at a no-brainer price. Especially when you weren’t expecting it! It’s that joy of discovery that keeps us pushing hard to find amazing deals for our customers.”

In 2006, Jeremy Young launched Tanga.com to sell off a stockpile of goods from a failed business venture, one item each day at 50% or more off retail price. As Young added products from many verticals, customers kept flocking to the site to discover the latest deal. Since that time, millions of customers have enjoyed Tanga’s deals on well-known brands at closeout prices.

Tanga’s business model is built on providing new deals to its customer base every day. Through flash sales and 24-hour offers, loyal “Tanganites” are presented discounted name-brand goods that are “here today, gone tomorrow.”

“Every day customers find mind-blowing deals on brands they care about,” said Young. “It’s like a treasure hunt for them. They never know what they’re going to find.”

“What surprises me, even though I know it’s coming, is the sheer variety of the paths our entrepreneurs take to success, thematically reflecting how our economy has evolved,” says Inc. President and Editor-In-Chief Eric Schurenberg. “What doesn’t change is the fearsome creativity unleashed by American entrepreneurship.”
