I had the older version of this litter box, with the purple lid instead of grey, and it did the job. However, it would squeak when it raked. I like how this one is put together. It’s lighter weight and the lid isn’t exposed at the bottom where the little would fall through on the older model. Definitely like the upgrade so far! We’ll see as time goes. So far, so clean! ;)

I like it I have 4 cats and I bought cuz daughter said it worked great. I have two other litter boxes just in case they don’t like it but they seem to use it I have had for a month and only changed it once. It don’t smell but the poop does stick to rack which I clean often but overall it works great ..

I definitely have mixed feelings about this litter box. While it's nice that it automatically scoops after each use and creates a more pleasant and clean area for the cat, it truly does not reduce odor much and I end up removing fecal matter from the pan every day to avoid odor. The disposable trays are wasteful and expensive and take up quite a bit of room in the garbage. According to the information included with the trays, they should last 20-30 days for one cat. However, the litter is urine soaked and dwindles down to a thin layer after about two weeks. I have one healthy young cat and it's completely necessary to change the litter every two weeks, making this litter box one of the most expensive options long-term since you can only use crystal litter with it. I purchased a reusable pan for this unit since it seemed so wasteful to throw away an entire pan every two weeks (and incredibly expensive too), and now there is only litter to throw out, which is an improvement, but the litter is quite expensive as was the reusable pan. I also question the impact crystal litter might have on the environment. It doesn't last as long as advertised, so I'm throwing out two bags full of litter each month. While this litter box is less expensive than some other automatic scoopers on the market, the long-term cost involved may make other options a better deal overall. I'm having some serious buyer's remorse now that our cat has used this box for a while.

This box has been such a pain and waste of time and money. Between the box and the refills, it was almost $300 invested. I didn't expect it to last as long as a month as advertised as I have multiple cats, but I expected at least a week before needing maintenance. At this point I'm lucky to get 3 days out of a tray. Ive since gotten a cleanable tray (another $70) and switched to non clumping clay to save some money, but the maintenance is just as involved as scooping. Solids will get stuck behind the fence and need occasional cleaning so that it can actually rake the litter properly.

The litter/crystals are advertised to last for two weeks for two cats— the crystals last at most one week. Also, the device is designed to rake cat poop from left to right and into a compartment— however, at least half of cat poop just falls right through the metal wires of the rake and remain visible in litter box. It is not all worth the money for the device and especially not for the crystals which do not last for more than a few days. Device does not at all work as advertised. Would %100 explore other options in hindsight.

I am one to always give a product a try despite negative comments, as I know people can be biased. I purchased this despite the negative reviews, after my friend suggested it before we go on a camping trip. But just like many of the negative comments said, this product is great in concept, and terrible in application. I have two smaller-sized cats, and the litter tray did not even last a whole week. I will say, yes the crystals do a pretty good job of masking odors, but after about 4 or 5 days, it was obvious by the yellow everywhere that it was time for a new one. What happened to 1-2 weeks?! That's because we have 2 other litter boxes still. The crystals masking the scent is pointless when the rake gets poo on it every. Single. Time. Disgusting! And smelly!! I am not sure how others' work so efficiently, but ours failed to appropriately place the poo in the containing box no matter how we tried to tweak things. So if your cat's poo is hard as rocks and they cover it 100% effectively with zero failure every time, and you have a heaping of good luck, then maybe this will work for you. Give it a shot and see for yourself. Otherwise, I'd definitely reconsider your inclination towards buying this. I am glad I purchased this from Walmart because returns were a breeze (besides having to deep clean it with lots of chemicals) compared to other places. Guess it's time to find a cat sitter!

It worked great for 4 months, then the a piece snapped on the entry of the door and just stopped working. Walmart does not make it easy to contact the manufacturer and get the corrections made. Be careful where you purchase this scoopfree litter box from.

Container where poop is supposed to be stored doesn’t open far enough and gets caught in the rake, causing the poop to get flipped to the opposite side of the rake ending up with it smashed in the back corner. Every other day there are piles of poop smashed into the rake which requires more cleaning than a regular litter box. The litter does not clump and therefore does not rake pee. Lastly, the litter only controls odor (for one cat) at most 2 weeks

it cleans the feces away. the urine just goes on the box and if the cats go on the cleaner (the silver piece) you have to get it off. plus it does not help with eliminating the odor! not even worth 15 dollars! do not buy its just a waist of money!!!!

bought this for my handicapped daughter for her cat. I got it put together and the sensors in it did not work, so contacted Petsafe and they replaced it. That one came yesterday and it has the same problem so I do not reccommend it.
