Our first meal was delicious and easy to make. We began sautéing the aromatic ingredients, added the dried pinto beans and stock, set it for one hour of pressure cooking so we could check for doneness. Once we relieved the pressure, we added some stock, a chopped pasilla pepper and 25 more minutes to finish the cooking. Perfectly done beans, tender pork and topped with freshly grated cheese it was a wonderful meal. I now have an orphaned pressure cooker I no longer need.

This new version is simple to use - too simple! I kept thinking I had to set the pressure release valve to pressure, but it does that automatically. Literally throw ingredients in, twist top on and turn it on. The press button is to release, not to seal. If you press it BEFORE the timer will never go on. (Yes, I spent about an hour figuring this out instead of reading directions). Pressure cook is the new “manual” button.

I was turned to this by a friend years ago. I love the fast results! I bought one for my daughter’s best friend and she sent me a pic of a roasted chicken she made!
