Brass tone floor lamp

Plastic shade holder piece snapped apart right away. Seems to be ok as is anyway. There were some scratches on metal and inconsistent color tones on pole sections. Very sturdy and provides plenty of light. No need to go higher than 60 watt bulbs.

Looks elegant but be cautious with assembly

I did not read reviews before purchasing this item but I also had problems with a thread part in the pole being crooked when screwing on. I ended up using pliers to remove it and gently reinserting it back. But it was a real pain as these are usually easy to assemble. I was surprised the lamp shade was glass and there was a dimming feature. I got the black one and it looks elegant. The base is sturdy but there are some small knicks but they aren’t too noticeable unless your really inspecting it. The light bulbs provided are good but the reading light is a little hard on the eyes so I’m considering buying a lower wattage bulb. I’m hoping this holds up and doesn’t break.

Could not get it put together correctly.

I was pretty excited about this lamp, but when I got to the last steps, there was no way to get the top piece to sit flush on the base. A small, but noticeable bit of the silver base was going to show. The more I tried to fix it, the worse it got and I'll have to return the lamp. Maybe I just got a bad one, but I'm hesitant to try again with this particular lamp. I'm giving it a 3-star rating, because I think I would have liked it if it would have gone together correctly.

Nice but did not work properly

Love the lamp, but had to return it. Top lamp made a humming noise and thelights flickered upon initial turn on.

crooked

The lamp itself is great and i love the domable light BUT it doesn’t tighten completely and mine stands crooked and loose so it leans and is impossible to get to stand up straight

Sturdy but the dimmable bulbs flicker

The lamp stand is sturdy. I’d prefer if the reading light was goosenecked for better positioning. The dimmable bulbs eventually flicker when they’re at a dimmed level; seem fine when they’re on full brightness.

Sturdy but a few quality issues

The material of this lamp is sturdy. I like it beginnig at when I was opening the package. I had two non-dimmable LED to be installed: one has higher quality circuit and the other one has lower quality circuit. The better circuit one worked very well at all adjust range on the top slot of this lamp although the manual suggests using dimmable LED. However, two quality issues I have observed: 1. The thread of the bottom post supposed to be removed to fit the plane lamp base. But it did not. The lamp was observed tilting after being assembled. 2. The glass process is questionable. It is so easy to be cracked. I mistakenly drop[ed the upper shade to the walnut wooden floor, which is comparable soft to the other floor, from one inch height. It cracked. It is also difficult to find a replacement on the market. It is so hard to find a lamp with this decent material in this price range in the US. It could be the one if the manufacturing quality issue could be solved.

Dangerous with children.

I like the appearance of the lamp but wish it was plastic. My son tipped the lamp over on carpet. The glass immediately shattered and pierced my foot. I needed stitches. I would rather get a plastic one but none of them have this style. So I’m just a little disappointed. It is almost impossible to get the replacement parts as well.

Not Really Dimmable

I bought this lamp in brushed nickel. Looks nice but the 1st one I ordered came in with a dented base so I exchanged it. The 2nd one does not dim very much. There is only a very slight change when I use the dimmer. Even bought a 2nd set of light bulbs that say dimmable, but that did not help.

Jury still out on this gorgeous lamp.

The jury is still out. The lamp is beautiful. The glass is thick and heavy. Easy for the most part to put together. If you have ever had a lamp that you screw together like this you know the threads can be tricky. But once you got it, you got it. So why is the jury still out you ask? Well, this lamp uses dimmable bulbs only lamp on top. I use LED exclusively in my home. Finding dimmable LED bulbs is not a problem but they sure can cost a lot more than the non-dimmable LED bulbs. Now if you use CFL and want dimmable that is a whole nother problem. Who wants to use incandescent bulbs anymore? The pig problem came 2 days in to use when the switch for the upper bulbs failed and the lamp became a non functioning piece of ... furniture? I called Target and they sent me another lamp, pronto. I have had the new one for 2 days so far and all is well, so far. Now I have to take the broken lamp to a UPS store and ship it back, ugg. In order for Target to ship me a new one had to promis to send the broken lamp back. The Target employee on the help line stated I needed to send it back. The shipping there and back was free but a pain to take it to a UPS store and not my local Target. So, the jury is still out. Good looking but will it last?
