This is a beautiful lamp, fits well with my furniture, but was such a hassle to put together. It took me two hours and multiple tries to get all the pieces connected. Be warned, the threads on the screw areas don't match up perfectly, and will screw in incorrectly, which I figured out after putting it together five times and it still leaned to one side. Then the cord inside got tangled from all the twisting and ended up disconnecting the fixture at the top, which I had to take apart and put back together. For this price, assembly should not have been this difficult.

This lamp was a pain to assemble. The threading is difficult to line up correctly. If you do it incorrectly, you won't really know until the piece is screwed almost entirely on, and you'll visibly warp the metal. I attempted assembly several times on two different days and ultimately could not get all of the pieces to thread properly. Of course, that caused the whole thing to lean slightly. I gave it one last try tonight, and I guess the angle I lifted it up on was enough to force the threading into proper alignment. The lamp stands straight now, as far as I can tell. And that's just for the base... The task lamp is secured with a heavy-duty plastic screw. I'm satisfied with that piece. However, the "mother" lamp is held in place with a flexible (i.e., cheap) ring secured by two wing nuts. It doesn't wobble around without applying a fair amount of pressure, but I would much prefer to have a similar mechanism to the task lamp. I purchased this without knowing it had a dimmer, so I was pleasantly surprised by that feature. I do notice a soft buzz near the dim end of the spectrum, but it's not enough to be bothersome, even when sitting a couple feet away. I was dead-set on returning the lamp last night when it started flickering every few seconds, but after I fixed the tilt tonight and turned it on, that seems to have stopped. Maybe it was a power issue at my apartment. I'll keep it for now; if the flickering returns, it's going back to the store. This is easily the most disappointing home item I've ever purchased from Target. I recommend saving yourself the frustration and buying any floor lamp that doesn't require twist assembly.

We bought 2 lamps. I would have given it 5 stars as one lamp provided bright, even illumination. But on the other lamp, the threaded tube was inserted at an angle and was jammed so that it could not be removed and re-inserted. I returned this lamp and ordered another one which has yet to be delivered. Hope this one works better. POOR QUALITY CONTROL!

I had the lamp shipped to my home...what a waste! As above...the threads were all mis-aligned and had to package back up and return to the store. Picked one up off the shelf...that was put together just fine. But, the company needs to get their act together and do better quality control.

I bought one of these and the glass shade was broken. I had to take out the base to get to the shade. I noticed that the base wasn't sealed tightly, the cover was a little loose. I took it back and opted for a cheaper plastic one that had a sturdy base.

Love the style. Seems sturdy enough. Do not know why the instructions state a limit of 150 Watts incandescent for ea socket, and 16 Watts for LED. Heat should not be a factor. Like others, I had great difficulty putting together. Cross-threaded easily. For that reason, it took over an hour to put together. The main problem was the dimmer switch with LED dimmable bulbs. It does not dim the full range as an incandescent would. 100 Watt LED bulbs dimmed very little. 75 watt bulbs dimmed a greater range. Since this was the major selling point for me, I'll return it. I wish I had taken a picture of the lamp in packing material before removing it. Took an hour to fit back in box, hard to figure out after the fact.

Lamp is very pretty, puts out great light, but the "daughter" lamp on/off switch has stopped working after less than 3 months. I expect more from a $60 lamp.

while it lasted it was fine. after a couple years, the lampshade got brittle and completely crumbled. since there was no replacement part I had to throw it away.

I was concerned when I read the reviews. It was a gift so I kept it. I haven't h ad it long, so I hope it doesn't stop working. It didn't screw in all the way at the base but seems sturdy enough.

Bought bulbs and they are buzzing when dimmed completely dimmed. What bulbs do you recommend?
