The lamp shines a huge amount of light, but be very, very careful when assembling. When putting the shade on top, there's a plastic ring that fits inside to hold the lamp in place, fastened on with wing nuts. The ring doesn't lay flush with the unit, so when screwing on the wing nuts, the plastic ring broke. I was trying to screw it on so the wing nuts were snug. I recommend only tightening until there is slight resistance to avoid breaking the ring. I glued it back together once and it broke again before I could get the light bulbs in. I used a different adhesive, was very careful, and it is holding - I hope for a long time. I do love the lamp. The shade is glass, not plastic, which is what I wanted. Just can't believe they'd put a plastic ring instead of metal.

Great Lamp Although Didnt Come With Dimmable Light Bulbs As It Would Flicker When On Low.

I bought this lamp in silver and it looks very nice. I like being able to adjust the smaller light piece to be able to focus the light on a book. However, the lamp makes a humming sound if I use the dimming feature. If you have the lamp on full light capacity, it's fine, but if you reduce the light using the dimmer, it hums.

Pretty nice overall, especially with glass shades instead of cheap plastic. Not too hard to assemble, except screw milling was poor and after trying about 20 times to screw first segments of pole together, they jammed tight and I couldn't unscrew it. It seemed to be aligned until last eighth of an inch, then it showed to be crooked. I gave up and left it crooked, plus, it wouldn't uncouple.

I like the style of this lamp and it is constructed well except I am suspect of the dimmer switch for the upper bulbs. This knob does not feel substantial like the rest of the lamp. I bought dimmable LED bulbs and the range from lowest to highest setting with the dimmer is not very significant.

I was trying to find a bright lamp for my piano room and this one ended up being perfect. I can adjust the small lamp to shine on my music and the feature to adjust the brightness is wonderful! I will say, when it is really quiet you can hear the lamp humming a little bit but it has never been a problem.

Bought it for my husband to use when reading. Couldn't believe how much light it puts out! Even just with the reading light. With the top light we hardly need any other lights in the room. It seems confusing when you are unpacking it, but is actually easy to assemble as most of it is connected via the power cord so you can't mix up or miss any parts. The biggest struggle is putting the lamp shade on at the top just because the thing is so tall. We haven't gotten the dimmable light bulbs yet. Looks nice. Nice heavy base. Exactly what we wanted.

Exactly what I was looking for, an indirect light and one for reading on the same lamp. worth the money. Very lightweight, so would be easily tipped over by small children.

This is a vice nice, solid lamp for the price. The brushed nickel finish is beautiful and the glass shades are thick. The top dimmer is a nice touch, although the range of bright to dim is not as wide as a I hoped but it is a nice feature to have. The dimming switch itself feels cheap, though, and somewhat loose (fingers crossed it will last a while). Assembly was simple, only took about 5-10 minutes. I'm using two 60W equivalent dimmable LED bulbs in the uplight and a 60W equivalent non-dimmable LED in the lower light and it puts out a very good amount of light.

This lamp is solid and attractive, and I am very pleased with it. Assembly was fairly simple. However, two of the three included dimmable LED lights did not work. I called Target and they gave me a credit in place of the bulbs, and the credit was larger than the cost of replacement bulbs. They simply emailed me a gift form that I could print out and use like any gift card. I went to the local Target and bought the replacement bulbs. One thing to note is that the lights are fairly bright even at the lowest setting of the dimmer switch, and only get brighter from there. They don't dim down to a low level. It's possible that this is typical of these types of dimmers using 60-watt equivalent bulbs.
