This is one of those shovels that should be in garden tool collections. It’s a having the right tool for the job. It’s so satisfying to few it go straight through roots when digging up a plant or holes for one. It’s carbon steel and VERY sturdy with an ergonomic handle. This is this is the 3rs Radius tool I own and they are all excellently designed and durable. Well worth the money.

This is essential if you are removing stubborn stumps or deep rooted plants. It is heavy but I don’t carry it around and it makes it sturdier to pry roots and stumps loose

Bought for tree loving sibling. Claims it works fantastic in our hard root bound Florida soil and wishes they had it 100 fruit trees ago. Says it was best birthday present ever. (I think that’s a bit of exaggeration, but they are happy) Totally worth the expense since it does the job!!

I wish I had bought this sooner.It has heavy gauge steel.Great design to cut & tear through roots.In hard clay compact soil is where this shovel really sets itself apart.Tearing through it with ease.I use it to break up the ground then use a regular shovel to move the dirt.Way easier than just using a regular shovel.

This is the best shovel of sorts I’ve ever foundVery heavy duty and I’d my go to tool when I have to do any digging, investigating and locating pipes etc

Got this thing when I couldn't figure out how to divide my giant perranial grasses. And it is absolutely amazing for digging things up in my garden with lots of roots and rocks around. It is not very wide, so you will probably still need a proper shovel for moving lots of soil around. But this is an absolutely one of my favorite and most used gardening tools ever.
