Wanted this to be amazing

Ok, So I initially loved these but I’ve had them for a few months now and here’s what I’ve learned… 1. When connected to my IPhone 11 Pro Max the headphones will randomly disconnect. Sometimes it is after only a minute or so then other times it is after 30 minutes or an hour or whenever and it will happen multiple times. When you pay this kind of money for superior products, this is unacceptable. 2. The noise cancellation is adequate but not amazing. When traveling I feel the noises on a plane are still there just quieted slightly. 3. They are really comfortable to me. 4. battery life and sound quality are acceptable but not going to blow you out of the water.

Does not work in outside cold weather

I'm so disappointed, I bought these headphones especially for running since I have a few other AirPods, headphones for music and meeting calls, etc but they're not so comfortable for running outside. I got so sad when my first running try failed with this. It just switched off after 10 minutes outside at -5 C temperature, I tried to switch it on but it wasn't reacting. When came back home, after some minutes it was successfully switched on. I liked these headphones but unfortunately, I've got disappointed

Fine for the price

I had been looking for noise cancelling over-ear headphones, but most of the "best" on the market are $300+ and I just wasn't ready to pull that trigger so I opted for these. Don't get me wrong, they're perfectly fine headphones. But now I understand why people fawn over the Sony and Bose options. The noise cancelling on these is fine, but if you move your head in a way that the earphone padding isn't completely flush, you can hear everything. The bass really is great. the ear portion is comfy. The headband though? That main reason I returned and jumped in on the Sony's. The headband hurts after maybe 30 mins of wear. There is no padding on it at all. They also fold up (which is cool) but they feel really flimsy at the hinges. I could foresee the hinges and headband adjustment becoming worn over time. I also saw a lot of other people say the padding can get smelly if you use these to work out. I didn't have mine long enough to sample that experience, but I will say the chemical smell of them out of the box was horrid. It wore off, but I get how smell could stick in these puppies. They're good headphones. But they're not great headphones. Definitely a good option if you are looking for a well-to-do leisure pair.

Beautiful but no bass

I had tried a pair of over the ear headphones and had a great experience from normally using earbuds. I was excited when these arrived, but after listening for a few minutes and making equalizer adjustments the intensity of the bass left me wanting. I’m now returning these and getting the model and brand I had tried out.

For the price, I expect more

I at least expect what is advertised on the site of what's supposed to be in the box. I received no 3.5mm remote talk cable, no universal USB charging cable, no quick start guide, and no warranty card. UPDATE 11/18/2022: Folks, don't be dense like I was when you open the box. While some folks in these reviews may have truly not received all items in the box, turns out I am not one of them. I failed to notice the little black tab (it blends in so well with the box) that you're supposed to pull up on. Under that is where the items were stored that I initially thought were missing. I'm so glad I checked. Now that said, I wouldn't say the price tag is justified. I mean really you're paying the name more so than the actual headset, but I think sound pretty decent, pairing was easy, and they worked straight out of the box. If they last me a couple of years or more then I'd say I've gotten my monies worth out of them. TO BE CLEAR: IF YOU ARE ON A WEBEX CALL AND YOU'RE AWAY FROM YOU DESK, YOU CANNOT MUTE/UNMUTE YOURSELF FROM THE HEADPHONES. Pressing the 'b' button does nothing for phone calls, it may pause music if that's what you're using them for, but it will not mute your phone call. This is EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING given that that is a key feature folks who work from home would need in a wireless headset. What good is having a wireless headset to have the freedom to roam around my house while on a conference call if I have to be at my desk to unmute/mute? For the price you pay for these things that should be a function these headsets have.

Great sound, okay fit

Love everything about the sound quality and appearance of these headphones. But, they’re just slightly too big for my head. Even on the smallest setting, the ear cups fall a little low on my ears and overall they don’t feel as snug as I would like. I think my head is on the smaller side though, so ignore this review if that doesn’t apply to you!

Amazingly bad at pairing with Apple devices

I got these as a Christmas present for myself and was soooo excited to try them out. Imagine my surprise when I realize how freaking BAD these headphones are at pairing with my Apple devices! Isn’t Beats owned by Apple?? I expected a similar experience to my AirPods but good luck trying to pair these with more than 1 device. First off, it doesn’t sync when the headphones are on your head (what??) so I’m holding them, I hear the sync sound, I put them over my ears, and they un-sync! This happens multiple times and I finally give up. But wait there’s more! When I try to sync with my iPhone, because I was syncing with my laptop, the Beats are suddenly hit with a Confundus charm and have no idea who’s phone this is, so I have to do a manual reset for them to remember my phone. What in the Professor Lockhart is going on?! TL;DL: These Beats hate pairing, they’re only committing to one device (but even then they’re flaky AF). 3/10.

SOUND LEAKAGE LIKE CRAZY

Look i don’t know if I bought a fake or what. But literally if I put the volume up just halfway it already leaks the sound. Then when I turn it up it’s even louder from the outside. If I wanted a boombox I would’ve just ordered that. Had to return. Sound quality and everything else was fine by me but the sound leakage was just atrocious. Not worth the money in my opinion.

When it is on sale it is okay. Just don't pay full price

I have tried several headphones over the years and the Beats 3 are just slightly better than average. This is a terrible and disappointing thing to say about flashy headphones that compete in the premium audiophile space, but these aren't close to being premium in either build quality or audio quality. Bottom Line on Top: If you get these on sale for $150, then they are certainly worth keeping; especially if you add the Apple Care - a key feature if your teenage daughter will be using these on the bus. But, if you are looking for an audiophile premium set of headphones, then keep looking elsewhere like the Shure, Bose, or Sony top-tier products. I think the $150 dollar price point is the line that separates headphones that can be good enough to enjoy regular use to where maybe you might consider paying more for better. Pros: * The Apple Chip makes it easy to transition between Apple Ecosystem Devices, which is nice if that's your aesthetic. * The fit is snug enough and comfortable * Good overall sound quality and call quality. * Noise cancellation is decent Cons: * Depends on the price you pay. If you pay full price then there are many better options available. If you get these on sale then these can be a good value. * Build quality isn't bad, it is just not premium. Comfortable but feel kind of cheap. * Battery life could be better Final thoughts: For a teenage kid who has an iPhone and Apple Care, you can't go wrong with these headphones - if you buy them on sale. But, if you are looking at these compared to other premium options, then there are simply better choices available on the market. Just don't think that the Beats-3 is anything special... they're good... maybe better... but certainly not the best.
