Noise cancellation… that’s really the only reason to buy them

The noise cancellation is kind of average for over-ear headphones. Would be nice if it had a transparency mode, but still. Got what I expected. They are advertised as supporting spatial audio… they do, but it’s almost impossible to tell. Honestly, AirPods Pro sound better. Would NOT pay the $350 for these… wouldn’t pay more than the $150 I did. The sound quality sounds just like the Beats Solo 3, with slightly improved bass. Battery says it lasts 22 hours. Battery doesn’t seem to quite last that long… maybe 16-18.

Problems with this headphone.

Bought this to replace my older Bose headphones and it cuts out seconds after it is turned on. Disappointed.

Average

The noise cancellation and the quality of the sound are ok but not revolutionary. I’ll keep using my AirPod Pro 1 instead.

Buy a Sony or Bose

Uncomfortable alerts way too loud mediocre sound. I owned a set of Bose worked 15’s. Way way way better. I only bought these because of sale price of 199. Not worth it. Apple CEO Tim Cook is a failure. Don’t waste your money

Repeatedly Shuts Off Unexpectedly

We bought these with high hopes. There were essentially no instructions so we thought all would be intuitive and easy. We wanted these for a trip (to reduce flight noise) but during the outbound flights the headphones (and noise-cancelling) stopped after exactly 3 minutes repeatedly (after re-starting! Wha ? ? ? ? After arriving at our destination I paired them to my iPhone and tested the noise-cancelling again: 3 minutes, 5 minutes, 10 minutes, 15 minutes all OK ! I was happy ! On the next flight the headphones shut off after exactly 1 hour repeatedly. We are returning both.

Refurbished

Had it for like 3 months and the issues in the headphones got bad. Keeps cutting in and out and one side gets louder then the other randomly. Disappointed in the refurbish I wouldn’t recommend.

Bad quality of materials

Overall just meh. The puffy part around the ears started to rub off in only 6 months leaving the part that makes contact with your face sticky. And that isn’t covered by the warranty! The depth of the ear part could be deeper. I feel my ears touching the inside often and leads to quicker fatigue. Overall I wish I would have spent more and gotten something higher quality. Just because these are expensive doesn’t mean they are without flaws! Pros would be battery life and sound quality. Not completely noise cancelling because I can still hear my neighbor stomping around upstairs.

I’ve owned 3 pair of these

I love the sound and the battery life but honestly over the years the build quality has truly gone down. My last pair completely fell apart on it own, and apple could not seem to get the correct color back out to me

Some decent value but super frustrating oversights with these...

As a product company that's owned by apple I expected just a tiny bit of a better experience than with most headphones. This was a worse experience than most headphones. For some reason I cannot tell the difference in the audio tone they make to tell if they're turned off or turned on. I may honestly be the same exact tone. So the only way to tell if it's turned on is but taking them off and searching for the tiny LED indicator light that shows they're on. But if you're in range of any other product you've ever paired with there is not way to tell which you're paired with and switching between devices is a horrific nightmare. Lastly the noise cancelation on these is (and I hate using this word) pathetic... the active noise cancelation of the IN EAR AirPods pros is far better. I don't know how that's possible but it's true. When I switch on active noise cancelation I can hardly notice a difference. Lastly if you're near any type of wind these create an acoustic sound funnel directly into the ear cups. I live in a city so on a windy day I can't even hear the music of the sound of the wind. I'm just outside my return policy so I can't return these but I honestly imagine I'll throw them in the trash before summer because of how frustrating they are. Buy literally anything else.
