It has a layer inside that crinkles and makes noise. Cat's wouldn't use it until I removed that whole layer.

My cat wasn't to happy with it. But it works for a chair cushion so the cat hair isn't all over the chair.

My cat and dog won't lie down or sit on the mat. I even gave to an outside cat and she won't sleep on it.

Its not what I expected. I thought it had a gel foam layer with a removable cover.

Just doesn't get warm enough for outside

Very nice and soft but my cats will not get on it. I don't think they like the sound from the warming blanket inside the throw.

The bottom side, which I assume is the fabric that helps retain the warmth, sounds like cellophane and my dog moves a lot at night, and it's makes a ton of noise.

Neither my car nor dog will lay on this. They refuse to......not sure why?

I'm having a hard time believing this mat is really a thermal mat. It certainly doesn't feel warm, and less so than other non-thermal surfaces. Pass on this and save your money. Color is darker blue than shown in the photo.
